Roly,

I am not so sure that one can not make a copy of anything, be it a Ford insignia, or a Coke cap without having the fear of copyright infringement.  I am more inclined to think one would have to try to sell something like this or make a pattern and sell the pattern. Otherwise, it seems like it would be against the law to even draw a picture of Mickey Mouse. I don't see a problem with the Coke bottle cap, posted here. Take a look at Steve Good's sight and you will see a football scroll pattern showing the Seattle Seahawks as the winner of this past Superbowl championship. Although Steve made a pattern in which he did not sell anything or include a team logo, I do not see this as any more lawful or unlawful than the Coke bottle cap, unless it is the logo copy on the cap that makes the difference. again, is it against the law for you or me to draw it ?" no sales, no infractions".  My take on it. would love to hear your reply

Steve you have to be aware of copyright laws with these people my friend made a plane out of a red bull cans and they gave him a free holiday, he did the same with a coke can and they try to sue the butt off him for copyright. nice work anyway. Roly
