nrscroller
Hi I saw the B & D rotary tool on sale at Menards the other day for like 19 dollars. It had 3 speeds, does this work in the dremel plunge router? Thanks Bill
Multifasited
I'm not positive but I doubt it , mfrg.interchange only happens as last resort !
dansnow
Likely not. The nose of the dremel tool screws into the plunge router attachment, so diameter and pitch would have to match if the B & D even had a threaded nose.
Jim Finn
I have the Black and Decker rotary tool mounted in the Dremel drill press attachment and it works well. amazingkevin
Fay Prozora
I saw some rotary tools on sale at Swains today and almost bought one. I couldn't tell you if it would work in the plunge router or not but I don't see why the store clerk would not ley you try it before you buy it to see if it will fit. If it fits the mini drill press for Dremel , then it should work. The part where you screw the head of the tool to the mini drill press thing or work station is the same size as the plunge router. Well going to get my stuff packed and then hit the sack. Good night Fay amazingkevin
amazingkevin
I'll have to look into getting the dremil drill press holder now, thanks
Jim Finn
I think the Black and Decker tool is a better tool than the Dremel. It has three speeds and at any speed it has the required power to sand or drill. The Dremel has to be run at top speed in order for it to have enough power to not bog down while sanding. The down side is: The Dremel does have replaceable brushes but the B&D does not.
