I was just wondering how often I should do maintence on my saw. I try to vaccuum it at least once a week but not sure how often I should wax the table and all the other things that need to be done. Just wanted to hear some other peoples maintence schedules.

thanks

I do the same as Sue .

But I take my air hose and blow the dust out of areas the vacuum can't get best advice is check the owners manual . good maintence will extend your saws life and make you a happier scroller

Don't forget to resurfes the screws the hold the blades

My first post here but would like to add my two cents . I too vacum after each session and will oil all the bearings and the 2 oil cups provided (Delta P-20) and clean & wax the table when the wood begins to drag. Being here in NM not much worry about rust but we do have some dust storms in the spring. That is about all of the maintance i do, just try and keep it clean as possable.

I vac mine everytime i am done for the day, most of the time.

I wax it when i remember which is usually once a month. I think it all depends on how much you use it and the humidity and a bunch of other factors that im not smart enough to know.

I'm embarrassed to say I don't have a maintenance schedule at all. I wax the bed only when needed, which isn't very often. I only vacuum the dust out when it gets unbearable or when I have the urge to tidy up my work-area. I'll use the air compressor to blow out the dust once in a great while. But for the most part, I don't really do anything to the saw. She's held up pretty well with my neglect.

The only real maintenance I do to my saw is vacuum/blow out the interior after I'm done with each cutting. I figure all that dust in there can't be good just hanging around inside the saw. Otherwise, I just cut with it.

I probably need my butt kicked for my maintenance habits. I wax my table if and when it is needed. Not after a project, but just whenever it gets nasty enough, I take my leaf blower and blow dust from my work area, to be swept up with the rest of the shop. I never grease links or bearings as long as it's running. I have two Deltas that are exactly the same. I keep one as a spare. If the one being used acts up, I switch them out, repair the down one when I get time, making it the spare. Other than that, I saw, that's what I do.
