Wilson's Woodworking
Here it is. The box I made for my son’s wedding. The box is my own design patterned after a box I made some years back and scaled down with a few changes to make the top even angles and therefore easier to make. I used woods to reflect the colors of their wedding. Red, gold, and black. The box is cedar and the inlays are oak, walnut, and box elder. I wish I would have used maple for the date to make it stand out a little better but my son wanted walnut to have the black in the box. I also wish I had made the bells just a little bigger and moved them down just a little to get them away from the white part of the cedar. I guess you live and learn. I am happy with it for my first inlay project anyway. Next to make a box for my fiancé for our wedding. A Big Thanks goes out to Jim Finn for sparking my interest and being a great tutor at the double bevel inlay Edited May 10, 2014 by Wilson's Woodworking lawson56 and robbert100

Fay Prozora
It's a beautiful box and it will be treasured for years to come. Great job on the finish too. I have never treid the inlay as yet so I want to give that a try. Maybe some thing small and simple. Take care Fay
