Phantom Scroller
Hi All Did my first show today be lucky if I saw 30 people come in, sold three things paid for fee for table and my money back. Still I enjoyed talking to the sellers and the customers and I'm doing it again next month. I think it could do with a bit more advertising. Here's pic of the table thought I'd put a bit of everything I could on it. DWSUDEKUM
Congratulations Roly. Just a suggestion though. You were talking about advertizing; Make a sign to hang on the front of the table or perhaps behind you, just to let folks who you are. More customers will come in time. It took 2 seasons for me to get folks looking for my tables so do not give up hope, be friendly and talk to the folks it helps really it does. Wilson's Woodworking
I think if I see the I am watching you cut out I might think you were a stalker and avoid your booth. Lol Looked like a great presentation to me but I hope you didn't wear the mask to the show. Phantom Scroller

DW Good tip I have a big sign but I didn't want to shock too many people as it was may first time I didn't want to over whelm the other sellers, haa haa so I just put cards in front and I have a large book printed with all my other stuff in it which gave me a couple of orders for portraits so it wasn't a waste of time. Next time once the words out I'm here everyone will want to see me.(joke) lol Thanks DW

Dan as that one's my trade patterns it had loads of comments it's that one that attracts people you need one in front of your sales. lol the funny thing was I made my wooden price tags and one lady pick it up and said £3 for this I said if you want that it's £4 she thought I was serious until I told her it's my price tag and she just laughed and bought a cross instead. wombatie and Wilson's Woodworking

RichieB
Hi Roly Great display, it takes time for people to get to know your there, and come Christmas they will be queuing up to buy! One tip that may help, try having steps on the table top so that your items are not all on the same level. All the best for the next one. dansnow
Looks like a good set up Roly. One suggestion from what we've learned, don't crowd things. People will sometimes glaze over and not really look if things are crowded together. I agree that steps or shelves to show things on different levels is an excellent idea. Luperez548
Lot of things to sell but I do believe the way to display them is not the better Roly, try to hang those if possible for better visibility. Phantom Scroller

Rob Roy
Hi Roly, what a nice show of work, not that I'm any kind of expert, but I agree with some of the suggestions. Particularly in the display ideas. Spread it out and spread it up. It's beautiful work you produce, so let the customers see it. Just my opinion Roly. At least you enjoyed the day and learned something from it and it wasn't a total loss. Good on you for trying. . Rob Roy.
