  1. I wanted to try making a video of my overall puzzle making process, so I shot a series of 3 videos this morning and found software that allowed me to merge them together into a single clip (not free software, had to buy a license for it). Here is my first attempt. My phone kept unfocusing and focusing which I know is annoying, my apologies. I'll try again some time to make a better version but this should give you an idea of my overall process which I've shared out here in words before. After making it I realized I had about 55 puzzles in various stages of my process... Kind of nuts, huh? Let me know what you think and if you have any questions.

  9. Thanks. Yes, I use poplar. I like the color variations that come with each board. I absolutely enjoy making each and every one of them. It's very relaxing to me. I have a full time job, so this is a great way to de-stress throughout the day. Here ya go... a freebie pattern so you can give it a try. I sell the patterns for Harvey Byler, the artist behind them. Let me know if any questions. Iggy Rescue1Harvey.pdf

  23. I made this Valentine's Day box out of hard maple and walnut. The hard maple was hard to cut slow going and had #7 blade to cut the heart shape out.

  27. Only time I really raise a price on custom work is if it's a personalized item.. I can use the photos from this custom order and put them on my web site to offer another item as a made to order item.. this way i don't have to keep it in stock.. Some custom work I do charge extra for.. typically $10-15 for the design / art work for the pattern.. personalized work that cannot be sold to others I charge up front.. with no refunds..

    Dilemma

Unbelievable! I contacted the person and shared my concerns regarding the copyright/trademark situation. Lo and behold I received a document today which says they have authority to create products with the logo and I am listed as a vendor! Now the pressure is on to come up with a design! bb

  31. Iggy, place some unreasonably high price on the Sax, you never know, some one might be foolish enough to pay the price. I've never made anything on the scrollsaw, that I wouldn't put a price on. Yes I made a few items that I really didn't want to sell, but, if someone saw something I wanted to keep for myself that they wanted to buy. Then I'd sell the item to them, but at a highly inflated price. Len

  33. A couple weeks ago Sasho posted a picture of a Superman trinket box. It caught my eye so I had to make one for myself but changed it up a bit. Last Friday I posted a picture of my project giving Sasho credit for inspiring me. My granddaughter saw my finished Superman box and told me that I needed to make a Batman box..........of coarse, I had to make it and got it done on Friday. Today at lunchtime I got a message from Sasho via FaceBook with a picture of a Batman box almost identical to the one I had just completed, with a message telling me that it might inspire me to make one of these. How Crazy!
