I also went to the show and spend some money on a little wood. Took my camera and proved I am not skilled with it.

    Pays to ask

Stopped in a quilt supply store with my wife and showed the owner a picture of "Love To Quilt" wall hanging that I have done in the past. She asked what i get for them and ordered ten. After thinking she changed the order to 12. Also wants to see some ornaments that have something to do with quilting. The top row is made out of white oak, middle row walnut and cherry on bottom. I was thinking she may want to put a couple in shop to sale but instead she wants to give to each of her employees for Christmas. Stacked cut two at a time. Sue Mey pattern.

  9. Made the cougar cause I love big cats. The horses I made as a cousin of mine was one of the two princesses along with the queen that represented the calgary stampeded in 2016, they travelled the world and I thought this was symbolic of her year. The horses are cut and framed with mahogany.

  12. As I'm wrapping up my cutting for the big event in a week, I'm down to only needing to cut the kids puzzles... and I'm soooo glad... I'm about burnt out and the kids puzzles are so easy and quick that I am very much enjoying the "break". Anyway, one of them that I do is a bunny with a baby bunny inside as one of the pieces. I got it from a pattern book that I have, but wondered if anyone else has or knows of other ones that are similar... an animal with a baby/mini one inside. I think they're very cute and the bunny is very popular. Thanks for any leads. Iggy

    Baby dragoons

Made from rescued pine. The card is a normal sized playing card to give a better idea of the size. Detail was burned in with a cheap woodburner, after a lite torching first. I made a template at the same rime too.

Not from Seyco Got off of Ebay made an offer and she took it.Still wrapped up with bands on the box.i am not short changing the Seyco Plus I did not want to spend 1000.00 for a saw if i did not need it. I would go for the King saw first It looks identical to my EX. and is only 550.00I don' need a larger table

  15. I've been able all these years to enlarge patterns and words but for the life of me i can't enlarge some words to fit in a space 10.5" x11' ="Live happy healthy and free".The letters need to be horizontal instead of vertical with spaces between each and at the beginning and at the end.No quotation marks.

    More belt display

Had some more orders for these belt displays, even one for my daughter who didn't want a dragon so she chose an owl and one made bigger to hold 10 belts.

    New Excalibur

The king I would be concerned about returning it to.But this EX was never out of the box.even though there was no warranty if it was DOA i could return the saw with Ebay buyer protection. I already have one so I was pretty confident about the saw. I took it out of the box, fine tuned it did some cutting is was good to go.I do not really need this saw My EX and Hegner run perfect.I bought them used off of eBay also. The price on the used EX was almost what i paid for this new one.i am geting like Hotshot now Could not pass up a deal

    New Excalibur

Rant on. At this point I wouldn't mind seeing a single bleeping chart listing all the old saws, all the new saws, with columns noting if it's top/bottom/both feeding, table size, what tilts where etc. Individual reviews are nice but they're a pain in the badonkadonk (No, Windows 10, don't auto-correct that to belladonna - I know what I said) when trying to comparison shop. Same goes for the names. Old Excalibur, new Excalibur, Seyco, King, Lego whatever - this saw is supposedly the same saw as that one, which is the same design as that 3rd one but with a different color and the name is changed to protect the innocent, except when it's sold in Canada by Busy Bee but not by Princess Auto because, well you know why. Just give me one simple chart and be done with it. Rant off.

  27. I don't keep a journal. Used to take pictures (35mm film, pre-digital era), but have gotten away from that, mostly due to the fact that I don't have a cell phone capable of taking, storing & displaying them. I too get asked the question all the time as to how long it takes me to make stuff. I simply say "I don't know", because I don't bother to keep track. It's a hobby and I'm not on a time clock, so it isn't really all that important to me how many hours/days it takes me to make something. If I made stuff to sell, I'm sure I would have a much different perspective. I do maintain a list of the Christmas ornament I make each year. Every year, since 1993, I choose a pattern and make dozens of ornaments from the pattern to give away to friends/family. The first few years, I probably made 30 or 40. Last couple years, I've made just under 100. I keep a list simply to avoid using the same pattern twice. I do record what it was made from and how it was finished. That's about all I keep track of.

    The herd

Just made from a basic pattern that I have modified many times. Scrap plywood and an unknown hardwood on the one with the inner cut outs. Lightly torched just to add an effect.

  32. I did and still do on the projects that are abit from norm. Maybe angles of cuts or size enlarged or reduced. Blades and things like that. I never did get into the photo of every project. Look back on it now I wish I had. Have made over 800 different projects in time. Kept a list because i number each project because I was selling in so many different stores and needed good account work for tax purposes. If you are making and giving away good for you but you are not a business and it means nothing to you. If you have some sort of business then some sort of records are needed.

  40. Oh, when I first started seriously scrolling, I did. Wanted to keep track of time on a project. Too much stress,,, I lasted 1 1/2 projects.. then forgot about it. I think if I was doing it more for a business, I will keep track of things, but as a hobby, no. I do pretty much keep a picture of everything I have built or scrolled.
