    couple of new ones

Cozy cabin is from Oregon Jabero, thanks to ScrollingSteve for helping source the pattern. Have included pics of one oiled and one Jan painted. The golfer is by Clayton Baker and is from the pattern library here. Jeff

  2. I'm am adding this here from the "Works in Progress" forum hoping to get some more comment. I'm thinking about donating this to the "Friends of the NRA" banquet along with the 2nd Amendment plaque they request from me. I'd like to add some red, white and blue some where to it. Any suggestions would be appreciated. "Completed the cutting of this picture called "Guardian" and is a Charles Hand pattern. I've been playing around with it and the backer. Someway I want to do the backer/frame in red, white and blue. like the American flag. Not quite sure if that is going to work out or not. I have sorta/kinda a picture in my pea brain, but not sure how to work it out."

    Basket Bowl

A fun build but the sanding took almost as long as making it. Walnut, Purple Heart & poplar with green veneer. Pattern was made by Carole R.

I made two variations of the same design. Made of red oak, maple, walnut, and mahogany. My wife thought the first one would look nice without a backer.

  8. I wanted to give a couple updates on the new space. I haven't gotten a whole lot done yet but I suppose I can't move in and spend all of my time in the new shop, there is still the rest of the house to contend with. Plus I am still trying to get the other house ready for sale. Stack on the holidays and I am just now realizing how busy I've been I attached a couple pictures to show my progress.

  9. There you go VS and 1996. I believe that was my year too I would have to look. OK all that is left is exchange cash.

  10. Great work I would put, a horizontal portion of the flag across the bottom where the black background is

  11. Well it is an older model, no disc insert on the table. The table you see is on top of the real table. An Auxiliary table. Not sure it is a variable speed. Looks like a 16" model, just guessing on that from the looks could be a bigger one. It does have the tension release up front on the top arm. Has the Quick clamp (an important option). Has the optional bracket to hold the mag light. I just put one on mine today.. nice option, I hope... Foot pedal included, that is a must in my book.. If it runs smooth and quiet, appear to be in good shape... only seeing it in person can tell. My opinion is any Hegner is better than no Hegner at all..... Okay, I just made that up. But I love the Hegner saws.

  13. I have made "shaker boxes" myself but first I made "Tiner" (the plural of TIne, pronounced "tina") They are traditionally made of norwegian pine and painted . I made mine of oak and had it painted. Red Oak bends very well. Easier than pine does. I stopped making them years before I started doing inlay. Lots of work, came out fine, very hard to sell. First photo is painted and the other two are decoupage.

  16. So does mine. Not an indicator of age. As I said they basically all look alike. Pretty sure that is a VS saw. Looks in good condition. Just need to hear it run and make sure the bellow is not dried out but you can replace them. If you can get for a good price they are well worth it.

  17. Mine has the plug coming out of the front of the motor also.

  18. I think it looks nice. If the price is right, and it runs well, buy it and you will likely be very happy. Tony mentioned that it might not be a variable speed version, which would be a bit of a concern but not a deal breaker for me. (I just wouldn't spend quite as much on it) I could be wrong, but I think the single speed hegners are 14" or 16", the auxiliary table gives the appearance that this one is bigger, so you might be in luck. Let us know what you find out!

  19. It looks like it has a belt speed sticker on the side near the bellows And the plug is coming from the front of the motor. So it may not be VS

  25. It doesn't have the Zig Zag spring, so it is newer than mine. It has the front quick tensioner which is a major positive. It already has the QuickClamp, though they are not expensive, it is still nice.. The last Item I would look for is the speed control. If it is a VS, then it might be a good deal, depending on price.

  26. The only thought that came to mind is a transparent red white and blue flag on clear plastic over the top of the scroll work top to bottom so you could see the eagle right thru it! Just my 2 cents worth!!!!!!

  28. Hi Ray, the model info is on the silver tag on the second picture behind the motor also on that tag should be the year it was made. I would check with the seller to see if he or she could get you a nice picture of that plate and see if this have is a multi-speed. Mine says it's a Multi Max and I'm assuming that means it's a multi speed. Also I'm unable to see if the dust collector is on that one. It looks like it has the quick clamp on it already which is a huge plus in my book. I've only had mine since New Years Eve so I'm pretty new at it. I'm sure one of the old timers (haha) can give you more info that what I've said. Good luck Jim

  38. If I may also add WTB does not send the patterns via email, they charge postage rate according to amount spent. If you order just one pattern $3.95 to send one piece of paper. My recommendation is order from one of our family member.

  42. Mr Squirrel is tops on my list!!!!!!!!!I've been feeding them raw peanuts in the shell and when they want more they jump on my 3 fans on the back door and raise cane till i get up and feed them again.there's going to be a peanut crop coming up soon as they bury more than they eat i think.I just enjoy the attention they give me.So many baby ones too .Everyone of them look like they have a smile on their face and that makes me smile too feeding them all they want, they get squirrel mix too, corn, sunflower seeds etc.Great looking puzzles you scrolled out Dan!
