    Teachers Pet

The little ones next door wanted to present their teachers with a leaving gift and not the usual chocolates or flowers so I came up with these for them instead. Pattern is from Steve Good and the material used is an old pine table top.

    Sprint Car Trophy

I made this Trophy for the Carolina Sprint Tour Race @ 311 Speedway last night. The race was won by 18yr old Jake Karklin. He and his Dad were thrilled to win this trophy. He said it was one of the coolest Trophies they had ever won. Jake said it’s going in my Bedroom! I had a Awesome time, and met some Awesome people. After making this, the track owner is wanting me to make the Championship trophies for our local divisions. I also got me some Decals made this week, and I’ve already had a few of my Customers put them on their Racecars.

    Getting married

My granddaughter is getting married in November. Both her and her husband to be are professional horse people. My granddaughter buys, sells, breaks. trains and sells horses. Her husband to be, is a professional roper and cowboy, he works as a ranch hand, taking care of miles of fences and herds a very large amount of cattle. So my thanks goes to Sam Custodio for his great pattern and for allowing me to alter it for this special occasion. Dick heppnerguy

  4. This is the First one of these I have made. Based off of a picture from Google. I had to totally redo it to make a pattern. Hope to sell several of these.

  5. Well, looks like that was taken from an episode of Woodworking for Mere Mortals. If you watch the beginning he tell where he got the pattern from coloring pages on google.

    Custom Racecars!

I’ve been very busy lately. Business has been doing really great. I thought I would take a minute and share some of my latest creations with my fellow scrollers. I made my own patterns for all of these. The Sprint Car will be given out as a trophy @ my local dirt track. The 3 CNYUAS Kart trophies are going to Syracuse, NY. They are for the Top 3 in points for the Central New York Unlimited All-Stars. Some where for Father’s Day presents, Birthday Presents, Proud Parents, Fans, and the Drivers Themselves. Hope you guys like these.

    Pole rocker

I had a special request to try to build a carousel type rocking horse. I have made 65+ kid sized rocking toys, plus a bunch of mini-sized stress reliever ones. SO I said, why not try. Here is the result. It is 37+1/2 inches tall 35 inches long and 14 inches wide. All construction is screwed and glued with the visible screw holes filled or plugged. I use a jig that I had made years ago for the rocker assembling. The wood is pine and a bit of unknowns for the top-cap and the handle. They were turned from firewood pile. The customer wanted to do the paint/trim etc. as that is one of my weaknesses anyway that is more than fine! The design is fro the rjR/ T & E design studio. All cross braces are also reinforced underneath. It passed the ride test by me with flying(ROCKING) colors too. When I get so I cannot test ride them; I am going to quit making them and give my rocker assembly jig and templates away. I did make posterboard templates for this one. If I make another, it will also have thin plywood templates made at the cutting time.

    Christmas Bells

Those look great Marg. I love the painting on them to. Another ornament I can do for my Grandkids for Christmas. I try and do one a year for them. Is there a pattern for them or is that something you have to order to get the names in there.

  33. This is where I got mine as it's on sale.. Not sure what saw you have but this one linked is for the Excalibur.. They also have them for the DeWalt and Jet saw too.. but you'd have to search for it. Also Bear Woods, and DND sells them on their site as well.. I'm sure I'm missing the other sellers I found but you can just google search for pegas blade chuck.. since pegas is known for blades you'll have to sort through sites that also sell the blades.. Anyway.. one linked below was the cheapest deal because they are on sale. I ordered on Sunday evening and they came in the mail in about 3-4 days https://qtena.com/b-pegas-head-clamp-set-br-for-axminster-carbatec-excalibur-excelsior-jet-king-pegas-and-seyco-scroll-saws-p-9607.html

  37. OK - I got really excited the more I kept making things with my original scroll saw. I got a kick out of some small items that someone made - he had challenged himself to make one-a-day for a whole year, and most were fun. I made some, then had the sense to ask him if he cared if I sold them at craft fairs. To my surprise, being new to all this "copyright" idea, he answered emphatically that I should NOT sell them; that he thought of each design as copyrighted. So, I haven't made anymore, and I haven't sold any either. Right now most are mounted outside on my arbor. The attached Word document shows only four items. But about the fourth picture - I made that, gave it one of my daughters, who gave it to a friend, who has traveled about the world and taken pictures of himself holding the piece at various locations worldwide. He sent the pictures to my daughter who in turn shared them with me. So, that's my story!! Vin Early Scroll Saw Items.doc
