  1. Hello everyone!! This time, I bring you a project that I made some months ago, piece by piece. It´s called "Freedom Wings", and the design it´s from the group of the main characters of "Attack on Titan", a manga (a comic kind) that I read. It´s made from 5mm plywood, and i´ve used the natural colour of the plywood for the right wing, and two different dyes: walnut for the left wing, and car oil for the spaces in the emblem and the base I leave you the design in which I focus too, so you can compare it with the result. I could make it blue, white and grey, but I think that all the wood tonalities make it special, and kind of personal too. Hope you like it!!

Just finished this one .It seemed to take me ages but I finally got there .The reason I am showing it is because of the large amount of Scroll Saw work involved in it.I am Quite happy about how it turned out but doubt if i would attempt something like this again .I have plenty of patience for my Scroll Saw work but not for something like this. Cheers Peter

  3. This marriage has been looming in the works for a couple of years and they finally decided the time was NOW. Since they had been a couple for maybe a total of 4 years, I was content to just have the feeling of "It's about time". I was told a couple of months after the announcement that she was disappointed to not had this traditional "she said yes" plaque that I had made and given to everyone else. I told her that I was just so excited that the time was FINALLY here that all I thought about was the upcoming wedding. I did promise to make them one. The husband to be is Hannah's brother. Hannah is the girl I made the 'HITCHEN UP" plaque for, that I posted yesterday. This is a pretty ordinary piece but it means a lot to the people it is made for, so I thought I would post it anyway. A couple of new ones

These are not new from Harvey, but new to me as I hadn't cut these before. Trying to add a couple new items in advance of two big events coming up next month. I have Harvey modifying the Steogsaurus to simply say STEGO... the original had so many letters, they were thin and fragile.

    Compound cutting

Just finished these up yesterday. Made out of cedar and there about 7 inches long and 1 1/2 high. These are Steve Good patterns. I'm giving one to my son in - law who's a retired Marine. He doesn't know he's getting it so he should be surprised when he gets it. The Air Force one is for me.

    Few projects done

Havn't posted much lately been doing a lot of repeat projects. I decided to post these that I had finished. The quilting cave plaques are 14"×16" made from 1/4" birch plywood. The wall plaque is about 6"×9". All with a few coats of clear finish on them.

  7. Hi, Don, I went to YouTube and found the WWMM video by Steve Ramsey with this link. http://woodworkingformeremortals.com/beginning-woodworking-intarsia/ Once on that page there is a link that says DOWNLOAD THE PATTERN HERE. This link, https://drive.google.com/file/d/0Byv0IjzK8MhvYXBaN0JSelVNSTA/view may take you directly to the .pdf of the pattern. God Bless! Spirithorse

  8. Got a few done now and wanted to post these up. The Celtic square is from Bobsaw got to love his work. Worbler did the Pangolin from a request. Hard to believe they are an endangered species and people catch them and try to make pets out of them. On the Pangolin I hit it with a blow torch after cutting and was surprise by the way it darkened the area around each cut. Got to do this more often really like the effect. Thanks both of you for the great patterns. Had fun on these. jim penquin

  19. You did a great job Dick. Give the girl what she wants. I made one a couple of years ago and put a 'diamond' ring on it, they thought that was a wonderful touch. Marg

My Auntie made wedding dresses and bridesmaid dresses on her treadle sewing machine and that was in the 60's and 70's she hated the new electric ones. Marg

    Cut out & Paste

Greetings, I have finally learned to do this well enough to get by but, due to your post, I looked on the internet to see what easy steps can be taken to arch text as you desire. I found a FREE download of some software called PicMonkey here:https://download.cnet.com/s/picmonkey/ and they say here are the only steps needed: Open an image or a blank canvas in the PicMonkey editor. Go to the Text tab (the Tt icon) on the left-hand side. Click the Add text button, then type your text into the text box. Click Effects on the Text palette. Click the check box next to Curved text. Choose a shape from the drop-down list; Arc or Circle. If you choose Arc, you can adjust the degree of arc with the Curvature slider. To add some depth, click the check box next to Drop Shadow. Even if that is all you ever used the program for, at least it sounds like an easy enough process for that portion of pattern design without having to learn an entire program. God Bless! Spirithorse

He is so excited about it. I have also seen some of your other racecar plaques and I will be showing them to him, as I know he will love looking at them Dick heppnerguy
