    Ford Hot Rod

Have been very busy lately doing other things but now have time to do some scrolling again & some relaxation time with my saw.Had an order for this one & the customer said he would take as many as I could make for him. He wants anything to do with cars ,motorbikes & hot rods. He wants to line the walls of his office with them so I am going to be busy for quite some time. Thanks to Grampa for the pattern

Finished these ornaments today just in time for tomorrows show. I reduced them to 70%, from the original 100%. Thanks Bob for the patterns.

    Medal Box

Another discovery in my search. I have made about 5 medal boxes in total, all slightly different. This one depicts a Light horseman on the front, the Rising sun badge on top and a famous photo of Australian troops taken on the Western front in WW1 on the rear. On other boxes I have changed the horse for a donkey in recognition of one of our most famous soldiers from Gallipoli, "Simpson and his Donkey" https://www.awm.gov.au/articles/encyclopedia/simpson

  4. The race to the finish line... Today was Mythical Day. Five Saturday events in a row coming up starting tomorrow. The weather forecast looks great for tomorrow and next Saturday, just need 3 more good weather days after that and end the season/year on a good note.

    Star Gate

I was searching some old drives looking for a particular pattern that I was sure I had, maybe I dreamed it, or I just haven't dug deep enough. However I came across some photos of a jewellery box I made for my wife. She need another as this one is over flowing now. enjoy. I used Pine, Jarrah and Merranti, and the bands are Tasmanian oak.

  22. Bastard of a thing this getting old mate. I have been putting down a floating floor in my Daughter's house, The constant getting up to the saw and down to fit the boards have played havoc with my knees. Should be finished this weekend, with the exception of the skirting. (I hope)

    I’m alive!

Just wanted you all to know I’m still alive. It was a very serious surgery. I had complications from pain meds, and am still in the hospital. I’m hoping to be home for thanksgiving, but no guarantees. I’m still very foggy so this is very hard for me to do not to mention the smoke from the fires. You have all heard about the shooting here in Thousand Oaks. I’m in the hospital that the Sheriffs officer died. So it’s been a tough time for me. I’ll check Bach in in about a week or so, Dan

    Square problem

I am with a Wayne, if they used your credit card information, it has nothing to do with your Square account. Somebody does have your credit card information and you need to cancel that card and get a new one. Believe me, I know what a pain it is. I have had to do it too many times in the past few years. You seldom figure out how they get your card information. Too many data breaches, ways to read a card from your pocket, etc. they often do a small purchase to confirm its a valid card, then hit it up big later, for your security, please, please, please, get a new card. You don’t want your credit messed up, or your credit card company holding you at fault for knowing it has been compromised and not getting a new one to replace it.

  33. Since Scott, Iggy, is tied up doing his show, I will give an answer for him so you need not wait. Most all of Scott’s patterns are created by Harvey Bylar. Scott has gotten Harvey to do some designs beyond the dogs and such. While Scott cuts and sells the various puzzles, he also has a place on his website thst you can purchase the actual patterns from. Most all of the money from the pattern sales goes directly back to Harvey, not to Scott. You can find the patterns on Scott’s site here: https://woodcraftbyscott.com/collections/scroll-saw-patterns (for the unicorn and dragon patterns, look in the subsection of mythical creatures.)

Than you. A couple of months ago I bought a triple set of Tek screw sockets for my drill, a good quality set. I put them somewhere safe and buggered if I could find them when I needed them. I turner the shed upside down and eventually gave in and purchased another identical set. The very next day l opened a drawer in the shed to get something and staring me right in face was the set of unopened bits.

  39. For the door to door people if my Great Dane is outside they typically stay in their car.. he is pretty aggressive as he was a rescue dog that I'm pretty sure was abused.. and if they are driving a car.. usually have to look up out the car window at him.. LOL.. most trucks he is eye level with you.. Nobody has been brave enough to get out yet until I put him in.. I also make sure that i tell the main delivery drivers not to get out if my main door to the house is open.. as he knows how to open the screen door.. One time he herd a neighbor raise his voice to me ( just saying hi ) but the dog thought otherwise.. and he took out the whole screen door to my sliding door.. Messed up bad enough I had to get a new one, LOL Real good dog once he knows whoever here is okay..

Beautiful job and what with Christmas coming - maybe finding the photo was a "prompt" to make her that new one she needs since this one is now overflowing. As far as that missing pattern, if you are like me, you have so much to search through that you probably just haven't dug deep enough. I usually find whatever I am looking for after I buy the replacement.

    Here, Kitty!

John, it’s a funny thing. I put this up on Lumberjocks the other day and I got a letter from a well known member on there yesterday that really liked this piece. He makes really nice bowls and asked if I would be interested in swapping the cat for a couple of his bowls. I told him that I might be later, but that I had just finished this and my wife wanted to keep this one around for a while. We agreed to do a rain check.I did put a fair amount of time into this one and if I sold it for cash I would want a fair price, otherwise I’d keep it, barter it, or gift it. Thank all of you for your kind compliments. It’s always nice when other terrific artists/craftspeople like you folks appreciate one’s efforts.
