Too excited not to tell somebody that will understand. My Dewalt 788 bit the dust a couple of weeks ago.Today I sold a very nice trumpet that was gathering dust which enabled me to order a Hegner Multimax 22V. Merry Christmas!9 points -

This is a Steve Good Pattern , had these glued for some time before I decided to try it , all 1/8" BB material with a 1/4" Walnut backer that sits on the interior cover that's glued to the outside lid for the box which is also Walnut material. Made two of these - my wife was going to give both of them away for presents . I ask her if she wanted one she'd better keep one of them - cause they were a little of a pain to cut and she decided to keep one for herself . I've had a big call to price and make them, not saying I'm not going to make more but wow got to figure a far price to ask for them since there really a time consuming project . I want to be far to the customer as well as to me that's doing all the work ......6 points -

I stacked cut three of these in 1/8 inch BB (12 x 16) for Christmas presents. The pattern is by Charles Hand and as designed, has 260 cutouts. I had to add a few bridges to stabilize some areas and to add the US flag at the bottom which resulted in a total of 297 cutouts. I copied the use of the flag at the bottom from an earlier post of this pattern by Scrappile (Paul). Comments and mild criticism welcome. Keith4 points -

Smart move. You will make sweet music with your new saw. I am sure you are going to love it. A little learning curve from the Dewalt but in no time you will singing along to the sweet music of the saw blade.2 points -

This is an original pattern made from a picture the client took. It is a picture of a chapel her father built and it will be a Christmas present for him. I'm still not sure of myself in the pattern making department, but I think this turned out ok. 1/4" Maple w/ a stained BB backer. Used mostly FD UR #1, the tiny holes in the roof were done with FD New Spiral 2/0. 10"x10 1/2"2 points -

Hi @Tomanydogs , It looks like they are from a German company that doesn't sell much in Northern America. If I were you, since you like them so much, I would just order a bunch of them on eBay to pay only one time for the shipping! That would give you blades for the rest of the year Good luck! I've been here long enough that when something like this in a thread doesn't work, I start checking dates of the thread. I tried to get to the site posted here three different ways before I thought maybe I had better check the date.... I was a slow learner, now I am old enough to forget most of what I did learned... You could still message Dave Monk and see if he still has the font. He would more than likely send it to you. He is a very nice guy.2 points

No pins except in the two pieces for the feet. I have seen these done with nails and to me looks cheap. The key is with each row they interlock to make it even stronger. believe me I have dropped these a few times and the worse damage was snapped the feet off but that is an easy fix. I use to make half a basket and put a flat back on it and it was able to hang on the wall. They did not sell as well as these. I also use to make a ton of those collapsible baskets that were trivets and they did well for awhile but i still have some that are about 20 years old. Stopped doing them too. The last of those style was this candy bowl basket that the basket part collapsed and the side pieces slipped apart. They too did well for some time but things go in circles. These baskets I have been making for a long time and they have stood the test of time for sure. Sold 2 at the last show. Sold one to a guy and he picked it up as soon as he saw it and no hesitation paid cash. I like buyers like that. Probably the quickest sale I made that day.1 point -

Nice baskets JT. I made a few different designs several years back. Made some that were flat so that they could be hung on a wall. Made some heart shaped ones too. Yours are very nice with the angle cuts on the ends of the blocks. But all glue? No pin nails?1 point -

Okay, thank you all very much for your help... I found out how to get the font in my computer... appears it's a Steve Good Font and I downloaded the pattern printer off his site.. I knew it was in that program.. but didn't realize it was his Font.. anyway.. now that I downloaded the program... the font is in my fonts list on inkscape etc.. so I'm good now.. Wow, what a time it was tracking that one down, LOL I have a repeat customer every year that buys different sets of words plaques desk / shelf sitters.. and likes the font.. first year on this new computer and I was worried because it's not on here and I couldn't find it.. Thanks Ray for pointing that out about Steves copywrite.. that's how I discovered it was in the program I downloaded earlier..1 point

Pegas Blades And DnD
SCROLLSAW703 reacted to Rolf for a topic
I actually used a #1R Pegas modified geometry(13.7 TPI) ) for cutting the parts on my last intarsia piece. 3/4 Poplar, walnut, cherry. maple, wenge. It is a thin blade and performed extremely well. I normally use the Olson Mach 3 for this. The Pegas is .004" thinner, insignificant but every bit helps when eliminating gaps. Especially when doing segmentation pieces. I did try the 2/0 R (15 TPI) for cutting my very detailed ornament stacks. They were a bit too aggressive and I went back to my old standby Olson 2/0 R (28 TPI) much slower but much easier to control. I will play more in the off season. It all comes down to what you are comfortable with.1 point -
I don't know If they would be more aggressive than your Olson skip tooth blades but Pegas does advertise them as an aggressive blade. I have to believe they would be more aggressive than FD polar blades simply by the difference in the blade design. Maybe someone will chime in with more info.1 point

Right now that is your space Mark. I do not belong on line. People are always texting and have to say my chiropractor was telling me the other day there will be and he has seen it an increase in his business because of people's necks going out of wack. Where we have come as a society and their phones is disgusting and disturbing. Will come up with something and if not I can always fall back on the design I use now.1 point -
