  1. A friend of mine saw my Vacation Plaques and said he would pay a good price for one of his own. I reached out to Bob and he gladly obliged. I am again Thankful for Bob and his talent as a pattern maker and expiditing those patterns so I could get them done so soon. Bob, I am so grateful as always for the help and patience with me. I may be reaching out sooner than I planned...lol

    Good Neighbors

Often this quote from Robert Frost makes a lot of sense. In some cases you might need a big fence in others you might only need an outline, like the one in this pattern. In any event I cut mine from 1/4" birch ply and mounted it on a rather exotic base of Lati wood, a scrap from another project that I shaped as a nesting place for the sign. Mothers Day Piece

Mom loves Oatman and Vegas so i figured i would have some fun and combine the two. Funny because if you know anything about Oatman, its pretty far from fabulous. lol

    Back at the Saw

This is my first project since my Shoulder surgery. Found in the Pattern Vault by Phantom Scroller. Doesn't look like much but it took me a while and I am happy to be making saw dust again.

  7. The passing of a loved one is always an earth shaking event and people often send flowers, lamps, wreaths and other items to help sooth the pain. This table sign might help by offering comfort to the situation. Mine is cut from Sapele wood, a nice soft chocolate wood, and as usual I used the off cut to make an improvised layered base. The top layer and sign were then mounted on a piece of maple. Done in a fine wood it makes an impressive display piece. In my newsletter I also explain how you can use other cut off pieces to make your bases and signs really stand out. 8. This is the first video I have ever done so don't expect much. This was my setup at the festival the last weekend in April. It was a 2 1/2 day event. It is usually attended by around 200,000 people. It was my first year to participate. Booth rental was $350, which to me was really pricey. My spot was under a large canopy so I didn't have to worry about the rain. At the end of the event I decided it was a bargain. Art show.mp4

  9. Fantastic work. Glad you had a good event. Unfortunately the art and craft shows seem to be charging a lot more for there spaces. I guess you just have to add it to the price you charge for your work. I think I will have to raise mine a bit this year to pay for entry fees. Again great job. Sure would like to see your work in person. grizz

    Barter project

I vape and I was at the shop talking to the owner. He asked how my recovery was going and we talked about what I was doing while off work. Long story short! He asked if I could do one of his logos and I said YEP, EASY. I can have it tomorrow. He said when I bring it in, find something in the store for trade. We will continue to adorn his shop. Here it is!

  31. I originally planned to wait and see if these really work but, this challenge came up so, maybe other members want to try it also. You can buy these professionally made but, I just used scrap pine. Height about 5 3/4", Width about 4". 1/4" dowels abt 1 1/2" and mesh material to put cotton, dog hair, twine or other materials a Hummingbird can use to start a nest. I used the easy way out and just cut one side of the roof 3/4" longer than the other side to over-lap but, it could be miter cut.

  33. I posted this project awhile ago but it fits here. The flower and petals are made of thin wood shavings. The Monarch is wood with epoxy fill.

  35. I'll kick it off with a couple of flower's I've made for my wife. The first was something I found on Pinterest while searching for Celtic Knots. I couldn't find any info on the original artist. The second is a Steve Good pattern, and after making one for my wife, I got a request to make another for a friend to give to her husband on their anniversary.

  36. I have slowly and methodically gotten rid of most of the small parts stored in bins, drawers or any other place for that matter. Found out that even though I knew I had it somewhere, easier to go to the local Ace or Lowes which are nearby and definitely get what I needed rather than search for hours.

  37. Ray I am like you in that I hate to send stuff to the dump, this has saved a lot of 20 mile trips to Lowes. I have been fulltime RVing in my driveway in our 26' travel trailer since hurricane Florene while rebuilding our townhouse. The upper shelves and bins in garage stayed dry, Dewalt scroll saw was on a table that was upended when my air compressor floated under it. I with help from a few church friends have done everything but the sheetrock which is all 5/8ths. The guy I was able to hire gave me a sob story so I did not fire him. Big mistake. There is so much devastation here in New Bern that contractors are booked well over a year. I will soon be looking for a new SS soon as I am almost finished with the repairs. Have already replaced a lot of tools out of necessity.
