    Enemy Below

ENEMY BELOW This pattern sort of reminds me of a scene from those naval war movies where the ship is quietly moving along the top of the ocean and below lurks the danger of a submarine attack. Tried to make the fullness of the ocean using a series of waves. Free pattern available http://baggetta.com/pebooks/puzzle_patterns.htm

  4. I finished another rocking horse. This one is a buckskin and belongs to my daughter. She was not happy when the other one disappeared. As you can tell by the photos, the Quality Control Department at home approves of the construction and functionality of this rocking horse.

Thanks for bringing that up.. I'm kinda looking out for a Hegner.. Not been too many around lately... now that I have some cash.. but boy there was some deals a month or two ago when I was broke, LOL.. Real nice 22" newer one a while back for $250.. and not far from me.. I had a hard time passing on it.. but didn't want to stretch the cash too thin.. Should have bought it and then sold the older Hawk I have.. as Les said earlier "Sometimes one has to ignore good sense."

Thanks Stoney. Unfortunately the Hegner one for $74 will arrive tomorrow. Not sure why but I sometimes do things on impulse. Never thought of the obvious but thanks anyway.

    Door Toppers.

Your work is always creative when you post one. Haven't seen door hangers myself. Its got some possibilities. Been thinking of switch plates and outlet plates with design. Working in the flip switch and outlet holes as part of the design. RJF

    Door Toppers.

These are the other kind of door toppers. I have cut a few of the bigger ones. You have to be creative to cut a 30" piece on a 22" saw but it can be done. It is easier then you might think. They are attached with a small nail or screw. https://woodenteddybear.com/search?type=product&q=door

You are welcome and not alone Les, most of us buy on impulse sometimes but like Ray said you got a great deal on the saw. I just thought maybe I could catch you in time and save you a little cash.

It's rapidly becoming a $200 saw. Still not bad. I can still get the one nearby me for $200 but it has no stand. You got a great deal.

Les you can make a similar to the Hegner upgrade tension release. I made one for an old 16" Craftsman. Just go to ebay and do a search for a cam lever. They are available with different threads to screw onto your rod.

    Door Toppers.

Looked at Command strips a few years ago and they seemed pricey. At least I wouldn't casually put things up and take them down all the time, Say seasonal change. Saw some at Lowes and I think one was $6.00. RJF Your work is always creative when you post one. Didn't know of door

    Door Toppers.

Hi Brenda: Are they just sitting on their own or did you secure them in place? Is it possible that you secured with a RR spike as was mentioned in an earlier post Fab4

It's an ornament that sits on your door frame, they can be anything that you like. I have these ones

  20. thank you Rockytime .I';ll try anything .I remember when all I could do was printed letters. Then I wanted to try script after 10 years of block letters. It was so hard at first but soon I was in tune to the way it is and am just as comfortable doing script as print.

    Nativity Scene

I finally put pictures away for the time being and cranked up the old scroll saw. This Nativity Scene is cut out of 3/4" Poplar and it is a Steve Good Pattern. I will probably cut a couple out of Walnut and clear coat them. Thanks for looking Jim

  22. Well I finally got something off the saw. With table saw upgrades, some jigs to work on, outside work, I have only spent a hour or so a day a few days a week on the saw. But I have this one cut and have another picture I have been working on for my son about 1/2 cut. This a Charles Hand pattern. I did the Ornate tiger, this one seemed to go slower for some reason,, not more difficult. I like having these on a saw. I enjoy cutting them. The next one will be the ornate howl.

    A dog and Puzzles

I had to find a birthday present for good friends 80th Birthday, she has 2 King Charles Cavaliers. After a bit of hunting I found a pattern by Sue Mey of a key/leash rack. She loved it. 4 tray more puzzles. The number one I scanned from an old book a long time ago, the Plane picture I got from a colouring book and just divided it into pieces.

  28. Thank you John. You know I hate to loan things as all the problems that comes with doing so. Well I had C.A. glue and a big bottleof it in gel form.Great stuff and fixes are immedieate. My buddy needed to glue something and I just sent him on his way with all my glues and he brought back nothing.I was flabbergasted. I told him I use that glue daily and you threw it all out, wow! Needless to say his antics have ruined the relationship and he's been on restriction quite a while now.
