Yeppers!!! "Quote" adds the person's post to yours, just so there's no mistaking what you're replying to. You can also go in and edit out what is "quoted" (I removed the photos from yours) to help focus on, for instance, one particular section/comment/thought in a long post. "Report" is to bring a post to the admin's attention, for instance if you think the post contains links to spam or virus-infected websites, or is completely off-topic or offensive or overly aggressive. If someone posts a bunch of nude photos with links to Russian porn sites while calling everyone on the board Nazi's, yeah, that should probably get reported. Don't worry about English...you be you! Yours isn't the worst I've seen on a forum (including some who are American citizens and grew up speaking the language). As someone once said, "English isn't really a language by itself...it's more of the illegitimate offspring of a drunken party between a dozen other languages, some of which may or may not be dead languages, and nobody's really sure if any of it was consentual."

  5. As most of you know, my wife's brother died last month and we thought it would be nice for them if I made each of them a memorial plaque in their father's honor. So we will be sending these to them tomorrow. Dick heppnerguy

    Card Holder

Made a card holder for my wife. I took the dragonfly holder and replaced it with my wife's logo. Stacked a piece of purpleheart onto an oak background and used the inlay technic to fit it in place. Thanks for looking.

I did each of these with a #4 spiral blade and raised them a little. Each I finished with 321 or semi gloss poly. All the wood was given to me by my brother. I have already sold one at Art Z Studio for $75. My first one I did in walnut, the fourth one here, I went back to look at it but decided to leave it in the store, it sold three days later. That's ok, my brother is going to bring me more wood like this. The cherry one here is a little over an inch thick an is still in the garage. I think it would be too heavy to hang on the wall. I really like the grain in each one of them. Thanks for looking

  10. Melanie, and others, I made it through the surgery, and I'm now at home. I'm now fully bionic, because they installed a bi-lateral pacemaker (3 lead) in my right shoulder just below my collar bone. It's an advanced design that collects data about my heart and "phones home" every night to pass this data to my doctors. I have a kind-of cell phone sitting on my night stand that wirelessly connects to my pacemaker when I'm in bed, collects the data from it, and then sends it on to the doctors (phones home). I think they can even make slight changes, if necessary, through this if something needs to be adjusted. I'm hurting. I feel like I've been shot in the shoulder, but I have pain meds to take when I can't deal with it. The pacemaker is about the size of a thin pocket watch and about the diameter of an original silver dollar. If you stacked 2 silver dollars together, it would be about the same thickness as the pacemaker.. It is just under the skin, so there is a visible bulge there. Right now the whole area is purple, from the bruising, and there is about a 1 1/4" long incision where they opened me to insert the pacemaker. The wires from the pacemaker to my heart were fed through existing veins into my heart and attached to the heart muscle in the required locations. I also gained another stent, so I have 7 now. I had been building up a lot of fluids and my feet and legs were swelling before this surgery. Wednesday, after the surgery, I made many trips to the bathroom and by morning my feet weren't swollen any more, but I got very little sleep that night. Today, the pain in my shoulder is a little worse. I'm going to cut this short and go find my pain meds, but I'm still alive. Charley

  14. Its been a few years since I posted here, life got complicated, sold my house last year and made a long distance move so sold most of my tools. Anyhow missed scrolling so picked up a new saw. Considered a few options looked at the Wen as it had a low price , but had a Dewalt 788 in the past and knew that the wen was not going to work for me. So was looking for a good price on the dewalt when I found HD had the delta 20" on sale for $299. It was delivered yesterday made a few test cuts today some Halloween stuff, its going to take a little to get back up to making some decent cuts. Anyhow so far happy with the Delta does not seem much different then the dewalt . Been so long it took me awhile to figure out where this forum was on the net.

  25. Went in the house to grab a snack and some tea...came back to the shop and my chair had been taken over by one of the neighbor kitties. I told her to get out of my chair...she just curled up and went to sleep! After I got the blue tape on and the pattern glued up I picked her and the cushion up and transferred her to a tote on the end of my glue up table. She was so concerned that she stayed awake for a minute or two before going back to sleep! She knows a warm dry shop when she sees one...

I think the shed is actually ok. I'm more disapointed that those Maples are gone. They were nice shade trees. Oh well. Neighbors insurance should take care of it. They were all his trees.

  41. This is the original thread that CharleyL gives detailed information on making the compound cut reindeer. There is more than one post of information by Charley so you will need to scroll through the different pages on the thread to get all the information he shared. https://www.scrollsawvillage.com/forums/topic/24171-compound-cutting-wood/ If you need the reindeer pattern and such I found these links to some info and patterns here: https://woodgears.ca/reindeer/scrollsaw_plans.html and also see here: https://woodgears.ca/reindeer/scrollsaw.html

Glad to hear the shed is OK. Early snow is always tough on trees that still have their leaves. Is any of the lumber worth taking to the mill? Maple can have some nice grain.

    Decorative Wagon

My wife saw a table-top version of a wagon she liked but, wanted a large one for outside. It is 30" long by 16" wide and, for now, has 5 signs to be displayed on it. My wife painted the signs and used a Cricut vinyl cutter for the lettering. A pic of the table top version is on the left on a clip board. God Bless! Spirithorse

  46. Well, I got the old witch cut tonight...she's still naked though. Tomorrow I'll do like the Rolling Stones said over ten years ago..."Paint It Black"...lol. Steve Good did the backer white like the moon...I'll do the same. I won't do the orange surround as I want to leave it as a hanging piece. Just realized it looks like the hanging loop on the right is cut. It's a dark, small, knot. Not worried about it as I'm going to paint it black anyway...lol.

  47. Well, I'm gonna break the rules right off of the bat. Made a couple of these last year for the wife and daughter. Also made this huge thing a couple of Halloween's ago. 6' tall and 12' long.
