    Loving my scroll saw

This is my second project. I have had a few failures, but I just dust off and get back to it.

    Nebraska

I changed it up a bit with this state. Texas was done with 1/4" BB plywood. For Nebraska I used 1/2" Oak and clear lacquer finish. I like the hardwood version better. May have to do another Texas in Oak this time. NE is also a Russ Wood Designs pattern.

  4. Steve designed this rose pattern as a segmented plaque. I made it into a box. I used red oak, poplar, cedar and walnut.

  7. Yes I made the picture also with help from my husband. I’m going to try and sell the pictures at a craft show in November. I put the cat and mouse on it because I couldn’t reach the top of the door frame. Here is another picture I made. In private sales I have sold 5.

  8. I've been trying to save my patterns after I pull them off of the wood that I am cutting. I started painting them on the inside of my shop door. Be interesting to see once it gets full! Btw, that sandpaper cutter is one the best things I have ever bought.

  14. you make some very interesting and unusual pieces within your patterns. I would like to see you place some of your patterns here and see the reaction they receive here. if you find there are people cutting and posting your puzzles here, (they would be free here) then you might consider posting an etsy page. That is my take on this Dick heppnerguy

  15. It looks like a good one. I often look for patterns to make from different medias and take photos of them and go home and make me a pattern from it too Dick heppnerguy

  19. It ends up that the person selling the saw is a member of our club and he will bring it to our meeting Tuesday. I will probably buy it. I asked why he is selling it. He decided he wanted a 21" so he bought the Pegas 21inch. That is a great price with very low usage. I will just need a stand which is a non issue.

    Loving my scroll saw

I ignore them, but if you hover the mouse over them there is a fly out that tells you what it is for, and they are in your profile too - has a lot to do with participation the new society seems very preoccupied with participation awards - oh wait you are a youngster - ahh scratch that

  43. Agreed! There has not been a real woodworking show in Denver for years. I attended one years ago and was mesmerized at all the wonderful demos. That is where I first saw a Hegner. The guy was demonstrating crossing out coins. I had not seen a scroll saw before. I think that was the last show here. Woodcraft has demos on weekends and offers various woodworking classes which are of course fee based.

    Thursdays project

Lol, I got a close call with 50,000 volts, the high tention wire of the power company cutting a tree econds more cutting and I could get out of the waydown braided thru the wires with a pole chainsaw.i thought I cut cut thru the 4" trunk on a 45 angle.well all was fine till the last 1/2".all I needed was 2 second more and I could get out of the way.before I could cut thru fire flys were stopping me from seeing.it was actually electricity.as I was being set up to die.it blew me off the ladder and knocked out all the power on super bowl play offs so my friend says to get out of here.

I've just choked on my coffee, I'm so, so sorry but that sentence means something totally different over here. Never was I so pleased to look on the Internet for a 'translation' I thought you were being rather hard on yourself as I thought your bench looked fine Over here Crappy/Crappie means 'Totally Rubbish' My sincere apologies, from an old English Lady. Have a Great trip. xx
