tape dispenser
Gary Rider and 4 others reacted to Wichman for a topic
I needed a way to use the 2 inch wide packing tape on a bench top. Nothing was available locally. So, I bought a tape gun that had a bolt on handle, removed the handle and clamped it to the bench with a pair of vice grips. Now I can tear off small strips of tape when I am working with patterns and stacked assemblies. This is (for me) much easier than using it as a tape gun.5 points -

Heart Puzzle Pattern

Valentine's Day is a great day for giving gifts, any day is a great day for giving puzzles as gifts. So here's a simple 12 piece heart puzzle that might make a nice gift on V day or maybe just about any day. I cut mine from 1/4" birch ply and lightly painted it pink on the front. Finishing Baltic Birch

Adding a couple pictures you requested. These are unfinished, just got through cutting them. The truck is Steve Goods pattern scaled down, the pig and Walleye are Sheila Landry and the Merry Christmas is Boob's Scroller pattern. I am not a very good photographer. These are the ornaments I was going to try the Danish oil on.3 points -

I am truly humbled by these comments. I bought blades from Mike for years and considered him a good friend. I still remember that wonderful Dutch accent. I hope to provide the service standard set by Mike.3 points -

We went up the street last night to a little open house that our dear friends hosted. I made one of my votive candle holders for her a while back and she proudly displayed it in her home. I had to take a picture to share with you all so you can see what it is that I work on. I hope you like it as much as she does. And as much as I do making them. I can't take credit for the wall sconce. She had that. But, now I'm looking for a pattern to make some of them. I'm going to try to design something but if any of you have a pattern that is similar, please forward it to me. If I have to pay for it, so be it. If it's the right pattern, I'll gladly buy it. Thanks.2 points

I cut this about ten years ago. It’s a pattern by the late great Dirk Bolemen. It comes out every Christmas season. I made six that year. Stack cut 1/8 Baltic birch plywood. Back then I would of used Olson #2 and 2/0 Reverse tooth blades. If you look behind Mrs Claus, there is a wall clock. Dirk designed a real clock of that. I cut that clock. It comes out every holiday season too.2 points

Denny, Years ago I had a friend with a solution to the cluttered bench problem. He suggested building all benches on a 45 degree incline towards the front. Now the bench is clear but I can't walk up to it. Tom2 points -

Hi Ray. At this time no to service or parts. So far, I had a few questions about service. I was able to help in one instance, but referred others to Bob Duncan. I will leave service to the experts.2 points -

No, John, just Pegas. I used FD blades for years purchased from Mike. Bob Duncan of Pegas gave ArtCrafters the opportunity to distribute Pegas. I use the MGT blades on the demo saw at ArtCrafters and am very impressed. With that said, if not for this opportunity, I would still be using FD blades.2 points -

I didn't know about Denny when I ordered a bunch of items not too long ago. I did refer him to a friend and he put in a order for quite a few items including pegas chuck heads. He received his order very quickly and was quite pleased.2 points -

Yes, I ordered from Denny last week. He shipped the same day and sent an email once USPS had the shipment in tracking. His prices are good, his shipping is fair and his service is great. Matt2 points

Thank You Multitom
TripleJScroller reacted to wombatie for a topic
This pattern is by Mahendra. He did an amazing job with a very complicated pattern. Thank you so much @multitom. I tweeked a couple of bits but not much. It was NOT an easy pattern to cut and I certainly will not be cutting it again. I used 2.5mm Bamboo and it measures 11.7" x 16.5", for the Aussies out there it's an A3 size. Marg1 point -

I'm fairly new to Scrolling
Phantom Scroller reacted to cashew22 for a topic
Hey there -- I'm fairly new to scrolling -- been at it just shy of a year now but it's done well enough that my Ryobi bought me a Pegas for Christmas. Before this it was a year with a Dremel and that's about it for my experience with woodwork. I'll try to throw a few pics up to show some of what I've accomplished so far. The first (ornaments you should recognize - patterns are from here) are my first cuts with the Pegas - everything else was with the Ryobi. I know the S's are upside down on the 1* plaque but it was just a prototype. The other plaques have some Dremel work in segmenting the center piece. These are pretty much my most recent.1 point -

I participated in the ornament exchange at work. Last minute thing for me this year. So I knocked this out last night. The lady its for likes gothic style stuff so I picked a picture off the internet and went to town. I'm not sure what wood this is. It's an orange/red color and pretty hard. About 3/4 inch thick, 6.5 inches long x 4 inches wide. Turned out good. Been a while since I've been on the saw, other projects are taking all my time. No clear, no stain, just a light sanding with 320 on the top and bottom.1 point

Denny, are you going to service any parts for the Pegas saws? There has been some talk about bearings and sleeves. It would be nice to know where to get them. And if they will fit the green Excalibur saws. Any info at all would be appreciated.1 point

Ever since the big kafuffle about one of the candidates having a big wine wing-ding in a rather extravagant wine cave of some millionaire lots of people have revealed that they have their own wine caves. It might only be a couple of bottles kept in the cellar or a large basement wine storage. In any event here's a sign that you can use to point the way to your wine cave, should you have one. I cut mine from two pieces of MDF. The top is 1/4" and the backboard is 1/2". I painted the top a brown color and the backboard a nice purple, like some of the wine. Got these done in time. The sign is for my cousin, and is walnut letters on a pine backer. The finish is sprayed on polyurethane. The plaque is for my son, and is for the department he worked in on the USS John F. Kennedy aircraft carrier. It is cut from 3mm and 6mm baltic birch, painted with spray paint and craft lacquer. It has a top coat of spray shellac. This was copied from the department's patch.1 point

Not a Project
amazingkevin reacted to JTTHECLOCKMAN for a topic
This is not a thread about a project I made but about projects you all make and show here. It does not get said enough here if at all that the work being shown here is some top rated work seen on any forums. Now many times people will post a project and it does not get alot of comments but may get alot of likes or vice versa. It must be said those things do not indicate that one project is liked better than another. It maybe not as many viewers per week or per day. I know myself I look at most projects when I come here and maybe do not comment or hit the like button but still love to see the work. So my point is here is a LIKE to all who show their work here. It is a pleasure to see such talent in one place and you should all be very proud to show us your work and it does not go unnoticed. Please keep them coming and happy scrolling to all.1 point -

I have now made over 40 of these. This is a custom request for a friend at Walmart. The pattern designer is unknown and the site is no longer available. I used 1/2" Walnut. It is approximately 6 1/2" high and 7" wide. I used FD UR #1 blades. The finish is two coats spray Polyurethane Clear Satin. Comments welcome.1 point
