    Shelf pattern

a While back I found this pattern on the internet but couldn’t open the file type it was formatted. I got you great people involved and it was opened, turned into a pdf and jpeg files and I got my pattern. Just finished cutting it and now letting the glue dry. I’m not patient enough to wait till it’s finished before showing it. I’ll paint it once glue is dry and I have the time. Thanks again to everyone that helped me getting that pattern opened!

    Motorbike

This one is from a pattern by H.Botas Size is 11" x 16" & was cut mainly with Silver Reverse 2/0 Blades & a 3/0 spiral blade in a few places. Made a few mistakes but think it came out ok in the end. I stack cut 2 of them and both are sold already to my very good customer & one of his workmen.

Cut this one for my sister on a piece of walnut from a tree in her mother in law’s yard. Reminds me of a sunrise or sunset.

    Imagine...Take 2

I finished this last night. It’s from a Charles Dearing design. This is the 2nd one of this one that I cut. The first one I foolishly cut out of 1/4” Cherry and proceeded to break it when peeling the tape. This one is BB and it was still very fragile until it was glued down. I won’t do this one again.

Love this pattern by Sue Mey. I'll probably cut one of these every year. I'm giving this one away on my Facebook page to who ever guesses the closest # from 1-500. It's cut in 1/2" Walnut.

  14. Wife got me a woodburner for Christmas. I was trying to think of where I'd ever use one, and remembered my old bookmark that's starting to get a bit ragged (its two newspaper comic strips, back-to-back, laminated). So I picked up some 1/16 and 1/32 baltic ply from Hobby Lobby and sat staring at them blankly. I hadn't even pulled the iron out by that point. LOL So, I scrolled one. I swear they had the stuff mis-labeled at HL, this stuff cuts like it was balsa wood! Had my saw on slow speed, new blade, and will probably try using an Xacto knife for the next one I do.

  25. This has recently shown up near me. But, for $350, no stand and a friend said that I will want to replace the top arm with the new model, which has a tension release lever at the front. Also beware that to start the saw up without first putting a little light machine oil on the connecting rod bearings, could cause the bearings to spin inside the arm and crack it. I am not sure this is a good deal. Thoughts?

    Table marking wood

I've never had this problem with my Aluminum tables of my Hawk saws.. But I do wax them often.. Maybe that is why? But I did have a similar issue with my DeWalt which had a steel table.. I never really figured out where the stuff was coming from.. maybe wood sap? I always kept the table waxed good on it too so not sure why it did it.. As others have said.. a good cleaning and a fresh coat of wax.. and the issue went away on the DeWalt... but.. I had to do it quite often.. maybe every 10 days or so... otherwise it'd come back.. finally took time to clean it really well.. I ended up using brake cleaner from the parts store.. several shots of it and scrubbing the table top revealed I had something on the table.. not sure what it was... maybe wax build up, LOL.. no idea what.. but a good cleaning and waxing and finally the issue was permanently gone... So I believe the good cleaning part is a must.. Careful if you use the brake cleaner.. it will eat off paint and melt plastic stuff.. I suggest spraying it into a paper towel and then wiping down the table rather than spraying the table and having the over spray getting on the saw body or other parts... Mineral spirits may be all that's needed.. I used brake clean as that was all I had on hand.. rubbing alcohol wouldn't touch it.. which is the other thing I had and tried.. Something else that works well to remove grime is WD-40.. but I'm not too sure about the use of that with a woodworking tool.. may affect the finish of wood etc ? Best of luck with it..
