    A quick one

Nice part of this one is that I did not have to recut anything, and the parts fit together the first time

  3. I hadn’t cut on the EX21 in quite a while so thought I’d cut a puzzle out on it. I have blade storage tubes set up at each saw. When I unravel the dozen I take note of how I put the remaining 11 blades in the tube so when I need the next blade I know what end is top when removing the rest of the blades. So what I really learned was that this puzzle cuts a lot harder with the blade installed upside down. I didn’t figure out that it was upside down until I was done cutting It’s not the easiest puzzle to cut with all that fur on the bottom of the dog, but the blade in the right way sure made the next puzzle cut much easier. So if anyone wants a challenge you should try cutting one of these puzzles with the blade upside down. my next challenge is going to be cutting with the blade upside down and backwards. Travis should have these kind of challenging topics .

  4. Got a gallon of degreaser to clean bandsaw blade. Cost $1.00 for a gallon at dollar store. After 3 hours of soaking you see the stuff that came off an how clean the blade is. Didn’t even have to wipe it off! Surprised me!!

  5. Been playing around with this in between yard work...lol. Might make some of these in hardwood to sell next winter. This one is 1/4 BB ply, Pegas #3 blade, Satin lacquer finish, Sue Mey pattern.

  6. This pattern is part of my Western theme cuttings. Nothing like a beautiful horse in full gait. I submit to you one famous horse called Cochise, owned by none other than Little Joe. You remember him from the popular show Bonanza. If you recall the horse he was a sturdy paint with white spots. I did two versions of this art piece. One of them has the spots of the horse raised in the wood. The wood is stained a dark color and the spots left in the original color. The other piece has the spots removed from the body and open air shows behind the running steed. I also used the base slightly modified so that it hints at the silhouette of the horse. Makes for an interesting piece. Download from Free Page

  7. This is one of Alex's patterns and I have been cutting it in between my mobile phone stands. The back is 1/4" pine and the middle and front are 3mm ply, they are painted white and red. I loved cutting it. Thanks for the pattern @alexfox Marg

    Wooden engine

Such patterns (auto, moto, technical items) are quite difficult to make, it needs more accuracy and precision. I think I coped with this task, what do you think? Video of making Engine Engine pattern

    Napkin Holder

Pattered by Steve Good. I used cherry wood. This took me a long time. My first try I broke it. I’m happy with the results and it is now on my dining room table.

  13. well heres some pictures of some stuff iv made. the first one is just a heart box I made...I put red felt on the bottom inside and then tried to inlay the rose. then theres the 2 welcome butterflys...I stacked cut them on 2 different shades of Baltic burch then just switched the insides parts of each, somewhere or another I found a piece of hard wood so I took my book on making these kind of bowls and made the little dinosaur one. I had fun cutting that one out...now I just have to wait for some more hard wood to fall into my lap so I can another one. lol like I said I have a whole book of these kinds of bowls the next one is a combound cut dragon holding a little plastic purple heart..and last but not least my cute little layered angle pig. I cut out the pig and the looked in my craft room for wings lol there a gold kind of thin metal and all I had to do was glue them on lol well I guess my breaks over so I should get back to doing something around here lol

  14. Hello friends, I hope you are in good health. This pandemic is affecting us all, we are isolated without being able to work normally. But it also gives us time to learn new things. I show you my last work done with dremel, now in wood. Thank you in advance for your comments. A greeting and a big hug for everyone.

  15. This is not a real genie lamp, so don't expect one to pop out and grant you all your wishes. But it is fun to cut on your scroll saw. Seems like compound cuts have been among the most popular of my patterns, so let's try this one. This gives you a rather small lamp. You could extend the length of the spout if you like. This will be cut from the standard size block (see the pattern). I used pine cut from a 2 x 4 and then painted it black. A nicer would will give you a nicer trinket. Enjoy. Download Free Pattern

  16. I was getting a lot of sawdust on top but I also have a fan with filter that sucks a lot of dust away.. but some was sticking to the paper pattern.. I thought it was the new brand of sticky papers I just purchased and was my first use of them so I didn't think a lot of that..

    Interesting new item

My lovely wife had a custom branding iron made for me with a secondary logo I use for my little woodworking hobby. My main logo has too much minute detail for the iron maker to recreate well. The iron works great to burn in my logo on some of my larger pieces. I am still playing around try to figure out the proper burn time and pressure but it will come. I came up with the idea of cutting out the burn for a wooden “business card” if you will to hand out at shows and fairs. Sort like the idea and the cost is minimal as I can use scrap. The finished product is 2 inch diameter a bit larger than a poker chip. Comments welcome.

  28. I must admit that it is some fine work, right side or not. I have learned very quickly with my Dewalt when the blade is upside down because of the amount of dust on top of the work. This also leads me to my golden rule that if I can’t see the kerf of a blade, not going to use it. That would have been good 20 years ago, but with age, there are less blades I can use.

  29. oh!! well I suspected it was a different langue!! Im always impressed with people who can speak more then one langue , I have enough trouble with English!! lol when my son was in firsr grade we got a call from the school for a meeting. they wanted to put him in speech class because they had a hard time understanding what he was saying, well when we got there they discovered he didn't have a speech problem...he talked like his mother!! lol my mom grew up in broklen NY and I of course learned to talk from her....so of course I had a slight accent myself lol so it was suggested that I start changing my speech and to listen to my husband at that time and try to talk like him lol it took awhile but it did work...I didn't loose my accent really but it wasn't as proniced. after the ex left I moved closer to my family and my accent came back lol either that or I just wasn't watching how I talked anymore lol espically after the kids moved out.lol thank you jim for clearing that up for me

I used it today. It works just fine. I just left the snot at the bottom, not pouring it out. When I get towards the bottom of the 50/50 I'll just toss it out and make a new batch.

  41. I am always here to help anyone with anything i can, even though i am a long ways from a what I consider an accomplished scroller or intarsia person. I have helped several people get started in pattern making and other scrolling tasks. I am not very well versed and any of it but I am able to help someone who is just starting something to give some help to get them on their way. Maybe we could get together and share our skills with each other, as everyone has something another person, who is willing to listen, can learn from. I have 2 Excaliber saws and a big work bench, so anything could be possible. Dick heppnerguy

  46. Lockdown projects - I like this idea!! Actually, my year of new projects started long before the lockdown but I've managed to start/complete quite a few over the past few months. And now, with the latest complete, another is on the table with the first couple pieces cut already. First pic is what I've managed to complete, center & bottom is the new project and my progress so far. The American Legion sign was/is over 60 years old and was showing its age rather plainly. Looks pretty good now, restored to her original greatness.

    BOTAS motorcycle

Been wanting to do this a long time. And next time it will be bigger. This baby,s a full 16.5" x 10.5/8" in 1/4" 3 ply plywood cabinet backer I found or salvaged. I spent a lot of time sanding and detailing but the finish coat raised all the slivers everywhere.cut with FDScroll reverse #3 blade. Good practise piece. I spent my extra time in 3 or 4 days and cut till tired. Rattle can primer & top coat.
