    Laugh

I cut this for my doctor, we always have a laugh when I go to see him. The wood is Elm and it was a to cut, I used 5 different blades before I found one that actually liked the wood and that was a Olsen Mach#5. Marg

A cut that I has been in my "to do" pile for a while. Found the picture online a while back and made just a couple of changes. 1/4" BB with a 1/4" backer. I used an Olsen #2 reverse blade. I cut up a piece of 2"x4" for the frame. This is the first frame that I have made in over 10 years! I'm not very good at them so I tend to come up with other ideas instead of the normal frame. Burnt the frame a bit just because it's fun! Couple coats of clear. Made this one for me just to hang in the shop, gets lonely out there sometimes!

  3. I've been getting orders like crazy for custom wording, business logos, etc. And now that I'm getting more comfortable with doing images with the laser engraver, these will be the new "standard" set I'll offer for my beach town and any others that I do events at in the future. I have 3 holiday markets in Nov/Dec so I'll be sure to have plenty on hand. Just more silly Iggy whackiness.

    Redneck Rally

I was asked to make this one as one of the prizes for the Riverina Redneck Rally to be held next March .It is 17.5 inches wide ,cut from 3mm ply with a 6mm backer.I used No 1 & 2/0 FD Silver Reverse Blades. I think the painting of this one took longer than the cutting but am quite happy with the result.Oh I forgot to mention that they wanted two so I stacked cut them but still have the second one to paint yet. The one dated 2020 is the transfer one that I took the pattern from

    CA Glue

I've used ca for years. Before replacing the cap I give the bottle bottom a very sharp rapp on the bench to clear the tip, then replace the cap.

    1925 Model T

Been wanting to do this project for a couple of years. With the covis stuff I felt now is a good time. It’s a 1925 Model T flat bed. Got the pattern from “Scroller Patterns & Supplies”. The truck is 15” x 7” tall. Used brass nails for the bolts in wheels and side boards. Went to internet and got a picture of the Texaco sign for pump. Made out of black walnut & red oak. Dip in 50/50 mix an let dry. I wanted it to look old so didn’t put any other finish on it. I added the brackets that the side boards go into. Wasn’t in plans but felt they were needed. Used #3 an #5 MG Pegas blades.

    CA Glue

I use this type of CA glue. It's more expensive, but the cap seems to do a good job of preventing the tip from clogging. I've never had an issue with that. Never had a bottle dry out on me either.

    Acrylic butterfly

Just finished this for the wife. It is sitting on top of a LED light. I made her a Snowman a few years ago for it. 1/8" acrylic sandwiched between two pieces of 1/8" BB. I used a FD UR2. It cut really smooth.

  16. Finally managed to finish the cuts I was working on this week. These are 4 first time cuts for me. The Rescue is thanks to @Iguanadon , this was his welcome gift to me when I first joined this forum. I didn't want to cut it until I could do it justice, hopefully it does. Thanks Iggy for everything! I did a few more puzzle cuts but I think I already posted them or they were dupes - altogether I cut and finished 13 puzzles this week - whew! The wife also finished some of her Halloween scaries. She still has a few more to post.. Thanks as always in advance for reading

    Firefighter emblem

Finished this piece up yesterday not a lot of scrolling to it but nice project to get a break from the outdoor furniture I been at most the summer. It's made from 1/2" plywood and roughly 21" around. Big thanks to my better half for painting it for including the lettering.

  18. I have been Scrolling for a couple Decades and mostly with STACKING to get many at the same time. Lately I ran across H. Botas Patterns and from the first one till I guess over a dozen I fine his way of designing mostly Easy, but decided to only cut ONE AT A TIME (with the wood) and to cut a piece of 1/4" to me became down right FUN.... Honest...........................More Fun than Usual............Danny :+}

    THIS WEEK END PROJECT

Veryy very nice. Horse and dogs, how could it be any better? Just me personally, I think I would prefer a darker contrasting frame. To my eyes the panel gets a little lost in the frame.

    Golf Tee Game Update

Hey Don, I've been very impressed with the quality of the end product from a simple $190 laser. The one drawback is the speed. Depending on the image or the amount of lettering it can take 10-15 minutes. That being said though, they have a new motherboard for my laser that will cut the speed in half or even one third and it only costs $49. I'm on the waiting list to get one to try it out. Mine is the NEJE Master 3500. The woman that sells them on this site is fabulous as she'll get on the phone with you when you receive it and walk you through the setup and a test. https://nmclasers.com/shop/ols/categories/laser-engraver

    CA Glue

I often use ca glue to stack cut, I over size the boards a bit then putting a drop on each corners and on the edge clamp for a few minutes and it is good to go. It is easy to separate with a slim drywall scraper.

    Hello from Slovakia

Hello everybody, google led me to this forum while reading lots and lots of review. At age of 43 i felt in love with creations, that scroll produces, that i'v seen all over the web, and because of my grandpa did lots of woodworking, i think am genetically inclining to that interesting hobby. So this month i'm going to buy my first scroll saw and i have tought decision to make. Based on dozens of review around web i am considering Hegner Multicut Quick, but i can't try and compare it against Pegas type of sawscroll, because nobody that lives close uses them and they are not normally available in our country shops (most of them sell products of PRC), So planning to import brand new Hegner with accessories from Germany. Based on reviews none of these two would be a bad choice. Other then that, am married, have two wonderfull kids and working as programmer fulltime.

    Saw Maintenance?

I think I had no less that a half dozen 35mm cameras, telephoto , wide angle and macro lens. One reason is my art department made custom presentation slides for the oil patch when oil was king in Denver. As a result I had a Forox slide duping system and bought my film in bulk. The cameras were "business expenses." I'm afraid I hijacked this thread. My bad.

  46. You both did terrific jobs. I think a second saw is in order. That's how I got into scrolling, Terry got himself a Delta 16" and I asked how it worked, from then on I was never off it and he was never on it. That saw was a work horse. Marg

  50. MOONLIGHT DRIVE: I thought I'd get myself a new set of wheels, so I went into my shop and fired up my scrollsaw (after making the pattern) and came up with this little doozy of a vehicle. Sure I can't drive it around (but where am I going to go during this pandemic anyway), but I can dream. Free pattern of this vehicle.
