I saw this picture on the internet and loved it, so I put it through Inkscape and came up with this. Done purely because I liked it and I needed to get out of the house. I have 10 pups, 6 adult dogs, 2 cats a pond full of enormous fish and now a 'wounded' husband that all seem to think I have 4 pairs of hands.

    Pontiac Star Chief

The 1955 Pontiac Star Chief was produced for 1954 to 1957. It had a V-8 287HP 4.7 L engine and came in a 2-door coupe and 4 door model. It had several distinctive features, 2 broad chrome bands that ran up the hood and a hood ornament with an Indian head that would illuminate when the headlights were turned on. It was also recognized by the 3-star emblems that ran along the side of the body. The Star Chief was the precursor to the Bonneville though the Chief name was associated with later models also. I had to go big on this plaque because of the size of the text. I used Good-Times font that is very similar to the Pontiac font. The dimensions are 18” x 12” on BBPW and a 1/4” backer.

Clearing cookies is a good idea.. I went to the cupboard and it appears they've already been cleared.... dang it.. I take it you all don't just click to stay logged in.. man that'd drive me nuts to login every day... I don't use any password keepers.. other than my brain.. Actually never gave it much thought to use one.. Windows pops up and ask to remember them.. I do that only on sites that are just forums and whatnot.. where I don't really have any real info to worry about.. They say hackers can hack the windows password keeper and get access to all your passwords and logins.. so I only use my brain...

  19. Like to hear others thoughts on these types of subjects.. My son is in his second year of computer networking class at a local career center where the high school kids go.. Last year ( his first year ) he signed up to do these competitions and he ranked in the top 100 in the world.. including the military... I know a little about internet security but if I don't, I know who to ask, LOL The one competition he is in is called cyber patriots.. I can't think of the other competition now but anyway.. his teacher is very impressed with him.. Funny but last year the teacher gave the kids permission to "TRY" to hack his computer in class.. my son not only hacked his computer.. but hacked the schools server and messed with the whole schools system.. he thought it was funny because the school was supposed to be a secure system.. he didn't get in trouble because he didn't cause any trouble.. in fact they thanked him for finding the security threat in the schools system, LOL

  21. I've had both DeWalt and Delta saws. Virtually the same saw except the stands are different due to different footprints. But can be modified to accommodate. I've gone to Delta now because of the price and warranty. As previously noted, if you are in production mode you will need a spare as warranty repairs take a long time. And I just found out that SEYCO sells replacement blade holder knob tips for both! Cheaper than replacing the entire knob. bb

Very nice! Good work on the pattern. I can relate to your hsbands perdicament. About six weeks ago I tried to pick up something very heavy and strained my back. I heard a pop so I may have actually torn a mussle. The pain was real bad in the beginnning but has gotten better but is still there and I suspect it will be there for quite a while yet. Ibuprofen helps but I'm limited on how much I can take because I'm suseptable to bleeding ulsers, so I just have to power through. I do wish him a speedy recovery.

Prayers said for his quick and proper healing and patience and sanity for you all, especially with that extra bundle of joyful puppies to raise. Kudos to you for finding anytime at all in your shop. Extra prayers said for you.

    Twitter login??????

I use my PC for every thing. Banking, ordering online, bill paying, email, webmaster of my own website (12 years) using the old Microsoft FrontPage for e commerce, PayPal. In 25 years online I have never had one issue. I never use my cell phone for anything, except to talk. Oh, lots of irritating things have popped up, but I managed to figure it out. Never ever, give personal info to anyone you don't know. Scams are everywhere, don't fall for them. Do your homework. I no longer answer the phone unless I am expecting a phone call. If you can't leave a message, I don't want to talk to you period.

When I was a kid we used to call Pontiacs "Pump Jacks." Don't know why bit I loved them. I always go to dinner on Tuesday evenings and pass a '55 Pump Jack near the restaurant. Beautiful work!

  34. I have a Delta Unisaw, drill press, scroll saw, 13" planer and have had no issues with any of them. I have had the Tablesaw 7 years used heavily, drill press 7 years, 13" planer 6 years and scroll saw 3years. I am either lucky or got well made machines. I wouldn't trade my Unisaw for any other tablesaw on the market. I taught woodworking for forty years and used powermatic and sawstop tablesaws they can't match my 5hp Unisaw.

Excellent work and she is going to be thrilled when she receives it thinking it was for someone else. Rolf, Jim and his patterns as well as several others, can be found in the scrollsaw cafe forum. I believe you have to be a member to see and download patterns shared there. It is similar to the forum for the magazine, in that worthwhile information to be found, but not a ton of traffic there. It can be found here: https://thescrollerscafe.discussion.community/categories

  42. We just got back from our first event as a vendor! First, I'd really like to thank everyone here for their help and guidance. If it were not for the great people on this forum, I doubt our event would have gone as it did.., It was really an interesting day and I was extremely surprised how well we were received. We sold 20 units total! The big sellers were kids puzzle @ 2 for $25 The 2nd biggest sellers were my fantasy and sea creature puzzles: Mermaids, Pegasus, Turtles and Manatees Interestingly enough I only sold 1 dog puzzle - Boston Terrier LOL We also got our first pre-orders for 5 more kids puzzles for next week and a bunch of dungeons and dragons puzzles. I have to find a bunch of DnD oriented puzzles, so if anyone knows where I can get a few quick DnD puzzles, let me know. I have the few books that are available I think Thanks as always in advance for reading

  43. I scroll standing up and have the saw stand elevated so that my lower arms are at a 90 degree angle when I scroll. I have found that to be the best for me personally. my husband made it moveable which I really love. https://youtu.be/wcsT-ZyFDGk

    Twitter login??????

I don't like or use the log in features these websites have for logging in.. just give me a username and password.. What it is, is instead of remembering a million usernames and passwords they'll log you in through FB Twitter, etc etc... that's just not my style.. and while it may or may not be shared with FB and these other places but I don't like giving FB and other social sites forum etc any more info on where I am online.. They can search for me if they want to and find me.. I'm not filling in all those gaps for them to make it easier for them if they want to track me in some way then they can work for the info, LOL... Should be easy for them.. All computers and service providers have a address and is most often shown to websites etc anyway.. I will say Amazon is doing it right... my login on there requires a two step process.. log in with name & password.. they send a text code.. then enter the code.. Etsy and other places are using the FB twitter etc log ins.. just seems to easy for a hacker to gain access to me having this kind of set up.. but maybe I'm old fashion.. I'll memorize the 100 forum logins and passwords before I give that info to ( especially ) FB and Twitter.. That's like just giving your info to the hacker themselves in my opinion, LOL especially as often as FB accounts seem to always get hacked.. Like sure.. let me log into my bank through FB,, DUH..

    Twitter login??????

Yes. A new login screen keeps coming up and gives me the option of logging in through Twitter or cancelling and going in through the regular portal. To me, it's intrusive. I don't need more choices in my short life span. I do use FB for many reasons but I have never used my Twitter account. In fact, I don't know why I have one. I'll give the others a try. Not sure why I need any of them. I have located many old friends and relatives through FB. That's really the only reason I have it.

    Spiral blades

I use a hammer on spiral blades to crush them into tiny balls, then burn them, then bury them. DEEP. They are pure evil and I don't want them coming back to life.

  48. Decided to make a Halloween lamp this year, and came up with the lamp below. Saw where Steve Good had used a flame effect led bulb in a project and liked the idea a lot, so I got one for this project. The flickering light from this bulb really makes the lamp interesting. The image of the cat is downloaded from the internet. Cut from 1/4" BB, with a frosted mylar sheet for the background. Spray painted black. About 6" wide and 8" high and 3" deep. I don't know why the light from the bulb is yellow, in real life it is all pumpkin orange, like the color in the bats. Guess using a phone to take pictures is iffy. Tom

  50. Here's a few I did back in March, before all the quarantine stuff, to get a head start on Halloween: 1. Ash ("Evil Dead" movie series) 2. Alfred Hitchcock (writer/director of horror movies such as "The Birds") 3. H. P. Lovecraft (early 20th century horror author, creator of the 'Cthulu' and 'Elder Ones' mythos, inspiration for many modern horror writers) 4. Edgar Allen Poe (horror poet, author) 5. Oogie-Boogie Man ("Nightmare Before Christmas" movie villain) 6. no idea. Found it on Google, thought it was a wickedly cool creepy smile. 7. All of them, stained and framed.
