  2. A Musical Bank I made this for my great grandson. It plays "I've been working on the railroad" when you drop a coin in the slot on top. It is a small bank slot musical movement.

    Spartan Executive

Spartan Executive The Spartan Executive was a corporate specific designed, all metal aircraft. The first model flew in 1936 and was owned by J. Paul Getty of the Getty Oil Company and was used for executive transport. The aircraft had a retractable landing gear and P&W R-985 450 HP engine with a top speed of 257MPH and a range of 1,000 miles. It was a single pilot aircraft with a either a 3 or 4 passenger configuration. Only a 36 were built of which 16 were later operated by the U.S. military. Production ended in 1940. There are 17 model 7W still registered. This plaque is 12 x 17 BBPW on 1/4" backer. I did my bridge fill in technique on the wheels and prop. Fun cutting on my Ex-16. The Spartan Logo and the small executive were the hardest part of this project.

  5. Good health to all the inhabitants of this site. It has been about a week and a half since the moment when I dared to register here. And all this period of time spent here was used by me exclusively for studying the content presented on this site and viewing other people's topics. I myself, because of my not very sociable nature, during all this time have not created a single topic here and have not presented any of my work for review. But you have to start sometime, right ?! Actors Wilem Dafoe and George Clooney. Dimensions 300 × 210 mm. Plywood 4mm.

  11. I have made one each for the married couples in our family. Somewhere around 30 of them. These will be going to the ones we exchange gifts with as well as those we do not. Everyone will know we are thinking about them this way. It isn't much but then the cost out of our pockets are minimal too. I am now in the process of making names for the grandkids and should finish them tomorrow. Dick heppnergyt

    President Trump

I have my opinion on this, but I'll keep it to myself. But I would like to say this...that when George W. Bush was elected, I had never seen the type of disrespect for a sitting President as I did with him.. and it got worse with each President since and I am going to assume that it will just get worse with each one from here on out. I'm not saying which party I lean towards but I have shown respect for the "other" parties President since I have been old enough to know better. I have read two autobiographies from 2 Presidents, they both mentioned the same thing.. they don't have the power that most people think they have. It's not 1 man's fault nor should 1 man get all of the praise for things that happen. We as a nation must show respect, not just for the parties, but for each other, in everyday life. How often do you see someone pull out in front of someone on the road? 9 out of 10 times that going to lead to one of them giving the "International Sign". I've pulled out in front of people before, not on purpose, but because I didn't see them or thought I had more time,, I always give a "I'm sorry" type of wave. How many times do you see someone not use a turn signal? That's being disrespectful right there, not to mention dangerous. If you pulled out in front of someone with the buggy at a grocery store, I'm pretty sure that you would apologize to that person and not give them the finger. It's when we get behind the wheel of a car or in front of a keyboard that we become badasses and disrespectful. I hope in my next life I'm placed in Mayberry! LOL Ok, off my soapbox. I hope that I didn't break the rules of the site for saying my peace. I tried to stay non political or show disrespect so I think I'm alright with this.

    Scroll Saw

I haven't been in touch with them for quite a long time now, but I haven't really tried. Reading on FB groups etc.. it seems as if they've improved customer service greatly... but I can't vouch on that for sure. as I'm just going off of reading other peoples postings.. I hope they really have. They make a great saw.. made in the USA is a bonus too. for me anyway.

    Cracked Egg

G'day all, I have about 20 stand up puzzles in various stages of completion. This is a new one. I think I have shown the other designs at various times. He is 230 x 170 x 30mm. I scanned the pattern from a book I have, many years ago, can't remember the name of book off hand.

  25. Thanks to both @Iguanadon and @kmmcrafts for their help as I made my first clock. The insert is too small for the hole I don't have the sizing down yet for the insert, but I did find a workaround - I put a screen tension spring in the hole and it worked like a charm Anyway, here it is: Thanks as always in advance for reading

    Scroll Saw

I have been a strong advocate for Hawk since purchasing my G4-26 back in 2005. It top feeds easily as the upper arm is spring loaded when you release the bottom blade clamp, that gives you a huge amount of room for feeding the blade. The same goes for bottom feeding lots of room. As with any saw that all takes practice. The front back stroke is adjustable to almost perfectly vertical. I have not heard anything from or about Hawk in some time, Kevin are you still in touch with them.? That said I would add a Pegas to that collection. Mainly for that fact that the table stays level and the blade moves for bevel cuts. I currently have a well tuned 16inch EX with Pegas clamps. So In my opinion I have the best scrolling capability for my scrolling needs.

  49. domain (Dan), I got the original pattern off the internet a few years ago and I'm sorry that I can't direct you to a web site for it. But, here is a picture of the printed template that I used, if that would be of interest. The Phoenix Raceway is in Avondale, and is just over 14 miles from my house, which is in Goodyear. I'm not a race fan, but I do enjoy hearing well-tuned cars. There's something invigorating about hearing those engines. I heard the NASCAR Championship was to be here in January, I think. With this coronavirus though, I wouldn't place any bets on it.

  50. I thought I'd combine an inlay with a bit of scroll-sawing -- this is the result. The design was repurposed from a Steve Good pattern, and the inlay was inspired by my wife's new crocheting product — a red squirrel (https://irresistiblecreatures.com/) which is also below.
