  17. I can see where that would be confusing. I did the video because it's hard to capture the illusion of this type of a cutting with just photos. I started to give up after 3 tries, but it bothers me more than it should to fail/mess up. I'm glad I tried one more time, but I'd also like to learn to deal with blunders without it affecting my mood.

Super sweet Barb. I have looked at many patterns of Ying and Yang cats. Seeing yours "in the Flesh" may just be the incentive I need to cut some.

  22. I give my nieces and nephews an ornament every year. This year was Steve Goods initial snowflake. Did the personalized ornaments for the grandkids and great-nephews and an order from my daughter for her nephews.

  29. Cut this Steve Good heart/gear pattern for my wife and daughter, decided to give them early (lots of family stuff going on). Haven't really cut much for Christmas this year, in past years I've had a garage full of gifts I scrolled. Owl/Wonderwoman/Superman trivets, multi-layer dragon scene, and Superman/Wonderwoman pics.

  30. I cut these 7 Santas to give away as Xmas presents to friends and family. They were given on Thanks Giving so they could be hung for the month of December. I also cut 30 of the S. Good 2021 Ornaments. Pic only shows the first 20. Some have been given already and some will be given with our annual cookie exchange amoungs the neighbors on Christmass Eve Eve. I also cut this S Good "Santahouse" for a present to ourselves to hang on the front of our home.

  31. My grandson, Kyler, is always trying to get into our bank. He even pulled a shelf down on himself trying to get to it. He is okay. Well, I decided to make him one for his upcoming birthday (OK, not Christmas but close enough). I also put a little money in it. Now, do I give him the combo or let him try all 1000 combinations? Hmmm.

    snowflake ornaments.

It's been a while since I've posted anything. Needed some more ornaments for the tree this year plus I thought I'd give some as presents instead of shopping. Made one for the ornament exchange at work and a couple to just give away to friends. Shot them with some white paint and then glitter paint.

    snowflake ornaments.

Thanks everyone! I made the mistake of taking some to work and showed them off. Looks like I'll be doing some more. haha! I'd much rather sit in the basement with the headphones on and be warm than be in the garage working on other things and freeze my toes off.

  34. I'll throw another variable into the equation. Different boards, of the same thickness and species of wood, will cut differently. Not something we usually consider, but it does happen. I was cutting some 1/2" red oak yesterday. I was having some difficulty, the blade seemed dull and tended to wander, even though it was a fresh blade. I double checked tension. Same result. I tried the same blade on a different piece of 1/2" red oak. It cut much better. I've cut cherry before that would burn as soon as the blade touched the wood. Different piece of cherry, same thickness, no burning.
