    FINALLY

I finally got this downloaded so I could post it. This pattern came from the pattern library here and the maker of the pattern in "Shady Lady". I showed it to my wife and she wanted me to cut it for one of our grandkids, so here it is. This is the second one of this frame I have made and I think by the next one, I should get it right, I hope. I cut this on 1/4 in BB Birch ply and made the frame from aspen and purple heart. I enjoyed cutting it and this one I am happy enough at the finished results. Dick heppnerguy

    185 Holes later

This was a super fun one to cut. Took me a few sitting at the saw.

  5. Actually, I would like to see the 16" available in the US.

  6. There has been a handful of times that a 30” saw would have been great a 21” model suits me fine. I have actually cut a 30” door topper on a 21” saw using flat blades. It required putting the blade in backwards for a few cuts. Doable but it takes practice.

  7. I am having a really difficult time getting my photos from my phone to my computer. I had my son try today and he only got one of them to me. I think he got a little confused and I am not sure if I posted this one before or not but I am going to try and get him to try an send me the other piece of work I was trying to post for the past week. This one is on I got on this pattern library, I believe, but not completely sure of that. Anyway, this was the first attempt at trying to make this particular frame. It is along way from prefect but I will get onto making them if I keep trying, you know....practice...practice....practice. OOPS..Am I getting too old for my own good. I forgot to post the picture.. Got it now though Dick heppnerguy

  8. That is all far too complicated for me, I just enjoy cutting what I want to cut or orders from customers. One thing I have always done is cut the insides first and the outsides last. Marg

  9. Just seen Bearwood posted on FB that Pegas has a 30" saw in the works.. Hmm.. Heck, I only need the 21 and honestly wouldn't mind a 16".. Guess I don't do many large projects anymore.. Keeping my eye out for used 21"s and found one recently that I'm watching.. hoping it don't sell so I can make a offer.. With the 30 coming out maybe someone wants to upgrade to the bigger one and sell me the old one, LOL https://www.bearwood.com/product7978.html

  10. I'm pleased with how this one turned out. How can one man have such an awesome voice, face, and name. Not fair. Cut in 1/2 red oak with a rough cut walnut backer. 8" X 10" Not exactly a relaxing cut with lots of small pieces begging to break off. But I got to listen to a lot of his music while I cut.

  11. I have the 21" Pegas and love it, it is a great saw. But I don't really need that big a saw and would be well served with one in the 16" - 18" range.

  12. I'm with Marge there. Too complicated taking all these sizes/measurements/times etc. Much rather just enjoy scrolling and get on with life.

  13. OK Kevin. Travis is going to scold you for putting scroller internet porn links on the forum. Actually, I'd be happy with the standard 21. A 30-inch throat is almost twice what I have now.

    Alex Fox pattern

Just finished the cuts of this cardinal, pretty easy to cut and I liked the end result

  17. I used a Dremel on the plunge router attachment for many years with great success but then I found a used radial arm drill and the Dremel has been in the draw ever since.

  18. That looks great Dick. I have had to make a new folder because my photos go into Google photos and I can't seem to get the hang of that so I transfer them one at a time the ones I want to share with friends or here on the Village into the new folder. It's a complicated process but it works for me. Marg

The number of holes is insignificant if you are pleased with the result in my opinion. And with the large extremely long cuts in that pattern, you could easily add a hunderd or so if your ego dictates counting. LOL Well done Pard!!!

  20. Yeah that's the dremel attachment thing I linked above that Les used.. though I think he bought the cheaper fixed base router base instead of the plunge router one that I linked to above.. I bookmarked that topic because I like that metal plunge base.. Maybe should buy it incase they quite making them.. Though I'm sure I could make one fairly easy as well.. Time isn't on my side for puttering around like that though at least at the moment..

    No Bragging Here

I haven’t posted any work in a bit and thought I would share this. Was asked to make this and used Wenge. Hope you enjoy seeing it.

  23. Well Dave, as usual you again turned out a piece with quality that I will never be able to come close to matching. I love everything you make, as it is always top notch. I do not see this quality come from many other people. You obviously know what you are doing and never cut corners. Excellence personified. Dick heppnerguy

  25. I bought a Cameo Silhouette recently. Been experimenting with vinyl and sticker embellishment's. Scrolling is very simple, but it was more of an experiment with my craft cutter. The tag and heart are cut with a scroll saw. The "Love" is red vinyl. The Photo is a sticker with foil embossing. These are for a Valentine's Day tiered tray display.

    Recipe Box.

My wife’s recipe box had so many recipe cards in it and was so old it wouldn’t close anymore. I used a pattern from a book I’ve had for awhile and double the size so they would all fit. I used walnut for the box and oak for the Celtic symbol for “I love you always”. Everything fits in it now and some extra space for more. I used 321 for the finish. I’m working on another using Poplar for my daughter. She really liked it and there’s plenty of room for more cookie recipes.

  27. You guys are doing math for fun? There is so much other fun stuff you could be doing instead, like taking out the trash, or cleaning the cats litter box…
