I have an upcoming craft show at an Indian reservation, so I found a few Gary Browning patterns to make. Crazy Horse, Chief Joseph, and Sitting Bull.

  3. In the progress of cutting another pattern by Jim Blume, '' Roaring Cat '' . Looks like this after about 20 hrs and 200 entry cuts . The mouth part is cut out except a few spots to keep it there till all the rest of the pattern is cut out, to protect the whiskers from being broken off, very delicate.

    Fox shadowbox

I have not posted new patterns for a while, now I have enough free time for drawing, but it is psychologically difficult to return to normal activities when you constantly hear explosions outside the window. Now selling patterns is the only income for my family, so I continue making patterns and here is new one - Fox shadowbox. Project size 7,5 x 7,5 inches, 5 layers 1/8 inch. Video of making project Fox pattern

  7. I just did this Steve Good 3D puzzle. Pretty quick cutting. I had the most difficulty actually putting it together after I finish cutting!! He had posted the pattern yesterday - today he had a video on how to put it together! I also have been working on a charcuterie board with epoxy river (I know - not a scroll saw project - but fun anyway!). Pics of both sides of the board.

  9. Friend stopped by and wanted a Trump 2020 ornament for his car. Baltis birch 1/4" wood and a #3 mgt blade from our member Denny. Only way I could take a picture with out my phone is with the lap top.3.75" x 5"

  10. done my way, lol! Very thin wood 1/8" 3 ply craft wood from the dollar store. #3 scroll reverse blade from flying dutchman primed ,painted glitter rattle can paint, and triple coated poly. Magneto font, titebond 2 glue under all the glitter and a thin thin coating on the 2020 and then I use a pencil to clean up the numbers of excess glitter. I dip what ever gets glitterd on to waiting wet glue and it sticks just the right amount of glitter and then tap the ornament to shed the excess on to a piece of copy paper and the back in the bottle. I want to get long smaller covered boxes to have what I need when I need it. This year I have used more glitter than since I joined SSV thanks to RDatelle!

  13. Well, to update, I figured I had nothing to lose at this point so I filled a sink with cold water and set the basket in the water. I figured that if the padauk continued to bleed, it might even out some. But, to my surprise, nothing happened. So, I got my spray bottle of alcohol and spritzed it really good and then the color began to run. It's the alcohol that was causing the bleeding. The lighter poplar is taking on a pinkish hue and the cherry doesn't seem to have been bothered. And, my mixture isn't 90% as I thought. It's really just 70% straight out of the bottle. Anyway, I let it sit for about a half hour and low and behold the glue started letting go. So I now have the top and bottom loose from the rest of it and soon, I'll have it all apart. Maybe there is light at the end of the tunnel and it won't be an oncoming train.

Well done on those for sure. If interested in doing more once those sell, the files here in the Village have many more Indian designs. If you have trouble finding them, let me know. A couple of Native girl images are quite popular at my shows.

  27. No I haven't Dick. The War Office doesn't like "Dust Collectors" I would probably agree with you about the clock, as they don't tend to serve any purpose these days with every appliance and electronic item having a clock. I do think it is interesting how the pendulum is a gondolier, (that's what it looks like anyhow )

  28. Great that people can help one another; family or otherwise. Great cutting! God Bless! Spirithorse By the way, my Native American name is actually Horse With Spirit Heart, thus the Spirithorse user name.

    A Alex Fox request

My daughter in Oregon has a friend that wanted a layered plaque or a dragon fly and Alex Fox is the first person to come to mind when a layer pattern is requested, so I hopped on his Etsy sight and found this one and sent my daughter a picture of the product for her friends approval. She was excited and said it would be perfect, so I got on line and downloaded it. This is the finished product that I will be taking to the post office this morning. It was interesting to make and I it looks like she is going to like it. Dick heppnerguy

  32. This a is a quick way to show cut rings to reverse stack to make a bowl. Or in this case a crown to a cowboy hat. This is black walnut 3/4 inch cut at 9 degree angle. 0.125 inch thick rings. Some times I call them slices. You can zoom into the picture and see how thin the cuts are. Me. Mark Eason

    Jewelry Box

A couple of years ago @OCtoolguy posted a box similar to this that I really liked so I have had to make a few. I used sapele and maple with velvet drawer inserts.

  39. Thanks for the reminder. Been busy doing Easter projects and forgot all about St. Patrick's Day. Here are a couple of patterns that may be useful. Funny how there are so many variations as to what folks believe Leprechauns to be like. By the way, the second pattern is titled "Who ate my Lucky Charms?" Be well all.
