    For my Daughter

I had to make this for my Daughter for Mothers Day as I think she is a Super Mom as she takes her son everywhere for Hockey practice and games. Steve Good Pattern

  3. This was one I did a while back for my wife's dog training club fund raiser. I thought it was somewhat neat because it had multiple dog breeds. The person/pet statues were some of the very first scroll cuts I ever did.

  4. A friend lost her long hair Chihuahua so I made her a cell phone prop up. She sent me a picture and I super77 it to a red oak board and winged it. Drill and then used a #3 spiral blade. Then I stained it with wipe on gel stain Java. Arm R Seal final finish. Me. Mark Eason

  6. Some early silhouettes. Yorkie with the pink bow was for my aunt, the Great Dane was ours (we will always and forevermore have a Great Dane in our lives). Perch is still being used by Rosie, the very inquisitive Eclectus Parrot, and the person loving on the pupper....well....we're dog people. I also have a little wind-up key I cut out of some scrap wood that was supposed to get strapped around our tortoise, but the wife didn't see the same level of humor in it that I did.

  11. Most make puzzles or leash / key racks from these patterns.. I make them into clocks.. or ornaments. As of a little over a year ago I'm no longer a pet parent.. Miss my dogs and cats but really allergic to cats and dogs bother me some too, now that the kids are kinda grown and wanting to start doing some traveling etc. we have not took on the pet parent responsibility just yet.. SO, I just make them from wood and sell them.

  14. Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey in It's A Wonderful Life. I like this moment of the movie. George is describing the big suitcase he wants for all the exciting travels and adventures he plans to have in his life, what he believes it will take to have a good life. If you know the movie, of course his life doesn't turn out like he planed and it takes a crisis for him to realize his life is wonderful as it is. I need that reminder from time to time. If you'd be interested in the pattern let me know.

  26. Funny you should mention that. I am going to make a set for my daughter and these fit a stemmed glass for white wine but my daughter drinks red. For a pop can the circle is 2 5/8 but the red wine glass 2 3/4 tapering out to 3 inches. I am going to cut the inside on an angle to see if it fits better. Keep you posted.

    Alder Wood

I use a lot of alder. It's soft and easy to scroll. I also use it for intarsia. Very easy to shape.

  30. No, not what I have in mind. I want a classroom setting with an instructor looking over my shoulder. I took one on Xcell years ago and it helped so much being in a class with others.

  32. Hi, I am very amazed with your club.........interesting, very well done. I can't believe I didn't find about you all sooner. I was a founding member and life member of SAW ( Scroll saw Association of the World), but it died a few years because of poor management. We lost one major scroll saw magazine a few years ago and the one left has turned into a CRAFT magazine. They have no idea what scrolling really is.....very disappointing. I look forward to participating in your club.....looks like a lot of fun. Only problem, I am not very good with the dam computer so will need help....Lol I am 87 year old and do not want to learn anything new. I have a lot of scroll saw patterns and projects that I designed over the years. I would like to share them with the club if you are interested. I had planned to publish a few books with them but books are being phased out by the internet and all the free patterns and plans they offer. Also I am too old to start over. A few years ago I can up with a method to add color to scrolling. (Mose scrollers are not artist so do not do projects that need art details.) My "process" actually uses a process Fisher-Price Toy Company used back in the 40's before plastic toys. I THINK your members would be interested. Let me know what you think. Perhaps, with some help I could do a "How to" article ? Let me know if interested. I am still exploring your website........( I am a slow learner). Have a great day, John

    Easter Scroll Saw Challenge

It took a little longer as life kept getting in the way. I went thru the pattern library here on SSV and found a pattern by Janevski. I tried putting a different spin on it. Still learning as far as paint and shaping are concerned, but overall it came out pretty good. Chris
