  1. I did a little creative change to a Steve Good pattern and I really like the way it turned out. This is a gift for a Very Special Friend of mine just to say thanks for being my friend for so many years. We have been friends for 65 years now. Dick

  2. Jimmy Stewart as George Bailey in It's A Wonderful Life. I like this moment of the movie. George is describing the big suitcase he wants for all the exciting travels and adventures he plans to have in his life, what he believes it will take to have a good life. If you know the movie, of course his life doesn't turn out like he planed and it takes a crisis for him to realize his life is wonderful as it is. I need that reminder from time to time. If you'd be interested in the pattern let me know.

  4. We are holding our annual craft show here at the house this Saturday, so I've been busy. We have 19 crafters setting up. Hopefully it's a big deal. https://fb.me/e/1D4d0WiZq Here's a few more I just finished up.

  6. The subject of spray boothes or areas has come up here more than once and while reading through an Instructable today, I ran across this idea being used in a high school shop class. If you have the room and get hold of an old camping tent, this makes perfect sense. Large enough to crawl into to paint but yet collapsible for storage. Pretty neat idea.

  10. This was one I did a while back for my wife's dog training club fund raiser. I thought it was somewhat neat because it had multiple dog breeds. The person/pet statues were some of the very first scroll cuts I ever did.

  13. Some early silhouettes. Yorkie with the pink bow was for my aunt, the Great Dane was ours (we will always and forevermore have a Great Dane in our lives). Perch is still being used by Rosie, the very inquisitive Eclectus Parrot, and the person loving on the pupper....well....we're dog people. I also have a little wind-up key I cut out of some scrap wood that was supposed to get strapped around our tortoise, but the wife didn't see the same level of humor in it that I did.

  14. A friend lost her long hair Chihuahua so I made her a cell phone prop up. She sent me a picture and I super77 it to a red oak board and winged it. Drill and then used a #3 spiral blade. Then I stained it with wipe on gel stain Java. Arm R Seal final finish. Me. Mark Eason

  15. At our club a couple of wood turners started to turn Soda Can Covers. They are to protect getting in bugs and wasps when outdoors or woodchips in the workshop. They started out fairly plain but they got fancier and fancier. One was even in the shape of a bowler hat and one as a poop emoji. Works for beer cans too. Then the scroller has to get involved and take it to the next level that only a scroller can to with personalized covers. Made from Maple with a died birch veneer as a backer and baked FIMO clay for the initials.

    Panoramic shop photo

I Love it. You have some Pretty Awesome work hanging back there. My Little shop you can stand at the front door and get it in a regular camera shot.

  17. Just the easiest way I've found. I don't have a stand for my planer, nor room in my shop for one. The first time I used it I sat it on saw horses in the yard and it made a massive mess so I just decided to sit it on my tailgate and blow into the bed of the truck where its easy to clean up. Not a perfect solution, but it works.

Nice cut. I was a little confused at the backwards writing until I scrolled a little more and realized it was writing on the outside of glass.

  24. Most make puzzles or leash / key racks from these patterns.. I make them into clocks.. or ornaments. As of a little over a year ago I'm no longer a pet parent.. Miss my dogs and cats but really allergic to cats and dogs bother me some too, now that the kids are kinda grown and wanting to start doing some traveling etc. we have not took on the pet parent responsibility just yet.. SO, I just make them from wood and sell them.

    I am back

Well I am Back. I have had some Physical Problems to have taken care, and some Personal ones came with them, but I feel they are behind me now, My Wife is doing Great, she is walking with the aid of a cane. There are times I feel like I need one. lol. I just got back in my shop, so I hope to be turning out something soon. Keep me in your Prayers. It has been awhile since I saw my saw, my hands and eyes aren't what they use to be.

  30. This is what I have purchased. It was on sale for $25.00. There is a flap in the back for ventilation. I have yet to hook something up for that. It reminded me of a play tent that my kids had. https://www.princessauto.com/en/42-x-36-x-39-in-pop-up-spray-paint-shelter/product/PA0008998569

    How Many Pups..

Hey Melanie, sorry for the delay. For my weekly market I take extras of about 8 or 9 breeds that I occasionally sell more than 1 of (I take 6 Dachshunds, then 1 or 2 of the Aussie, Black Lab, Doodle, Labrador, Frenchie, Pit Bull, Pug, Retriever). For my bigger events, I'll take duplicates of a couple dozen different ones. I simply hate it when I run out of anything and have to tell customers I've sold out of what they're asking for. They will rarely place an order, purely impulse buy.

    1st Cube Tissue Box

Thanks to @FrankEV for giving me a nudge along, I finished this tonight as a gift for the school bursar, (Karen) as she is leaving tomorrow. I like cutting things fine This is the first cube type tissue box that I made. There where lots of paper and printouts trying to get the design and dimension looking correct. It is made from 12mm pine with Jarrah trim. Has Royal Blue felt fixed to 3mm ply as a lining and backing to the cut outs.| Finished with 3 coats 30% gloss lacquer Mary and the Southern Cross is the school logo Don't know what I did to the pics this time, they came out small ?

    Soda Can Covers

Nice pieces and and good idea, however totally superfluous in the case of beer, as it never lasts long enough to bother putting a cover on the can

  46. Thanks, I think I found one that'll work well. My confusion is it seems like DW would know that it would need a elbow, LOL
    1 point
  47. I currently can't get close enough to the dust collector so I just attached some elbow and attached a dust collector bag to it. It does a great job. When our garage is built I'll move the shop out of the basement and have a better set up, but this is working great for me. It's out of the way and collects the waste.

  48. I put a 90 degree fitting on the planer and have it pointed to the side. Works pretty well for me. Phil
