  5. Hopefully they are completed to somebody,s specs, lol. They were great fun watching them come together these past few days. I need the room as there is no place to set a cup of copy on, unless it's on the scroll saw. It's always waiting for something to reside on it!!!

  6. Video games have always been a part of my "fun time". My daughter is also a gamer heading to college. I made this fridge magnet for her.

  7. During the FUN Days of summer we trend to put things off and never get around to doing them. If you have that problem, make one of these and you can tell everyone, you got 'A-ROUND TO IT'

  8. This is the third one of these I have cut. I struggle with the detailed models/toys but I have found that I always enjoy the challenges of them when I am making them. I originally made it with no painting because I do not have the talent for doing so. After I gave it to my friend, he said it needed to be painted so it would pop on the shelf. So then that project became even more challenging then if I would have painted it before assembly. Considering that, I have to say I am about 85 percent satisfied with the end results. 9. Hi everyone, just wanted to put these on that I just finished for my Granddaughter who's going to paint them. Another big shout out to Don from Brookline who did these for me pretty quick. Don't know how he does it so fast. Thanks again Don for all your help when I need it.

Hi John: A good friend of mine and I were talking the other about something like this I think we are all old enough to remember the bird that would sip from a glass just bobbing up and down - This reminds me of that drinking bird - looks like a fun/serious project Fab4

I knocked this little project out this week doing a little cutting before work. It is a modified Steve Good pattern made from 1/4 Birch ply stained with Minwax Natural stain and the backer is 1/4 underlayment material stained Minwax Espresso. I will probably tape a white cardboard piece behind the mountains to give them the snowcap look. It was cut using Pegas #2/0 R MGT blades. The dragonfly just happened to be checking out the piece when I took the photo.

    One more butterfly (new)

Some scrollers asking me where I take ideas for new patterns. Here is a good example of using different styles. I made it usual, mechanical, ornament and now floral style. New one has 3 layers, size 7 x 10 inches. Here is preview of new one and all my butterflies Butterfly pattern

  16. In today's episode of "Why Does Scott Take 110 Breeds of Dog to Every Event?"... Yesterday I sold 13 puzzles and 4 leash holders. Of the 13 puzzles, 9 of them were dogs, and 4 of them were the "less popular breeds" but because I had them on hand, they were virtually a guaranteed sale as dog owners go crazy when you have their unusual breed as they never see them anywhere else. Some weeks I may not sell any oddballs, but over the course of a season it adds up to dozens of extra sales. Pointer Chessie Ridgeback Cattledog And I got asked for one I didn't have (which is rare) but next week I'll have 111 breeds with me when I add the Keeshond to my herd.

  17. We had some strong storms last week roll through, I got a small limb come down that I still need to clean up.. power was out for about 3.5 days. Thankfully I have a generator so life wasn't disturbed a whole lot. I normally wouldn't run the generator all day but since my wife, my youngest son, and myself work here from home I ran it during the daytime hours but shut it down shortly after dinner and clean-up was done. Then of coarse, I have to get up before the wife and get it fired up so she can get her coffee before she has to actually talk to people for work, LOL. This later part of last week and up until Tuesday this week it's supposed to be humid, not necessarily "hot" at mid to upper 80's even low 90's but this 80 - 98% humidity is for someone besides the human race. We get some summer days with higher humidity sometimes but I don't ever remember getting such high humidity that my shop floor is actually wet and sweating.. maybe that is my sweat, LOL.. I really haven't done much more than I have too outside the last few days, Got several orders that I've been putting off until "hopefully" a better day but looks like tomorrow I'm going to have to work.. like to put it off another day but then I'll be cutting it too close to the deadlines..

  33. Thanks for all the answers to my topic. I forget that where I live we don't have to separate the todo list into summer and winter projects. I was mostly worried that all the violent weather may have adversely effected the lives of those in the storm states. Glad to hear that nobody was in peril.

Starting to look good buddy. By the way everyone, he's making them for me. Thought I'd give him a little work to do. Kevin, are you going to put a little bling on them. Let me know.

  39. I do agree that a refurb with no warranty should have a lower price but that isn't what I meant by $200 cheaper.. the original price for a "new saw" is $940.. the refurb is $748 almost $200 cheaper than a new saw.

  40. Bearwood just now emailed back.. this is copied from the email: Hi Kevin! These are saws that would have had a small defect IE stripped threads on a screw, scratches on the table, and other small defects that were fixed by the technicians at Grobet USA with work directly with the manufacture. Please let me know if you have any other questions! Shelby

  44. I'm not much of a gardener I guess.. I thought I was as everything veggie wise grows awesome.. in fact I give a lot of it away.. with the talk from our leaders about possible food shortages I thought I'd grow more than veggies, so this year I tilled up a much larger garden... bought some real nice steaks, ribs and bacon seeds put it out in the garden and watered it daily.. Not a single meat product grew... I'm wondering if I watered too much? anybody know? Most of it didn't grow I think because maybe some critter took some of my seeds. Also wondering if maybe I need to put "miracle grow" on it.. I think it'd be a miracle if any of it grew.
