    My latest clock

my version of the Chimes of Normandy. I left a few things off that I thought weren’t necessary. 1756 holes drilled and only a dozen blades. Made out of quarter inch cherry.

  2. Finally got some shop time this week. I was able to get this cute little guy done. Cut from Aspen with a #1 mg blade. The colour is done with Unicorn Spit. Backer is BB ply, about 6" diameter. Finished with Walrus Oil. Pattern was from https://www.sg-patterns.com/slides/Glass pattern 002 Dragonfly Delight.html via a posting on one of the FB pages I subscribe to. I was also able to get a number of other cut, but not finished, projects finished!

    BRAVEHEART

Mel Gibson as William Wallace in Braveheart. One of my all time favorite movies. The thistle flower, under the quote, is the national flower and emblem of Scotland. In one of my favorite scenes in the movie, Wallace's future wife gives him one at his father's funeral. Also some of the prettiest music of the movie in this scene, A Gift Of A Thistle. Cut in white oak with a stained poplar backer. About 7" x 8".

    I bit the bullet...

I do the same process, and it works like a charm. I tried blue painters tape and shelf liner. Prolonging the blade life, in my opinion, is negligible using either tape or liner. So, for me it’s Super 77 on pattern, and applied directly to wood.

    My latest clock

I have been working on it since The middle of May off and on whenever I had time. I used Pegas #3 Rev. I am keeping it for now but this is the third and final clock I'm going to make. One of my kids will probably end up with one of them because we are out of display room.

  10. I have done stained glass for years and find those patterns (and I have a ton of patterns) work really well for scroll sawing also. Love your dragonfly. Colors are spot on.

Very well done. Lots of nice patterns on that site. In fact too many to go through them all.
