This is another Jim Blume pattern I previously cut and has become one of my best sellers. This was one of a double stack using the new type of wood (Blonde) at my local box store. The piece is 11X14 with my typical finish of Natural stain with a black backer followed by 4-coats of Polyacrylic. Frame was made using framing material. While this wood is not as pretty as Maple or Birch, I haven't had any problems with it delaminating as I have had with the "premium" wood. Thanks, Jim, for another beautiful pattern.9 points -
Christmas Stuff
Phantom Scroller and 6 others reacted to barb.j.enders for a topic
I will be heading to Toronto at the end of the month for a family event. Perfect opportunity to get the Christmas gifts ready to take (instead of shipping). Toy car is Cherry with Maple bumpers - pattern from here. Tic Tac Toe is bb ply with maple covers. Original pattern from Al Baggetta. Added the box cover myself. Segmented snowman pattern from Steve Good. These are for my nieces & nephew so I asked them their favourite colours. Scarves are done in those. It was kinda surprising that 3 of the 4 liked the same colours. These are painted with craft paints. Buttons also painted, because I didn't have any small black ones. Everything is finished with Walrus Oil.7 points -

Kevin responded to me on Facebook. He has been suffering from COVID. He had it 3 times. Not doing too well walking now, and in a lot of pain. He had his cell phone go bad and lost passwords and access to many groups as a result of it. Give him a shout on Facebook and I'm sure that he will happily return a message to you. I think he could use the friendship right now. If anyone can help him regain access to www.scrollsawvillage.com I think he would be very thankful. Charley3 points

My wife and I have been volunteers and fosters for Min Pins for over twenty years and adopted seven of our own. The breed must not be popular enough to include them when it comes to pictures or patterns I could print. I took a picture and messed around with it turning it into B&W, and resized it and wasted a bunch of printer ink and paper until I was satisfied with the size. I wanted to make a light switch plate topper and I spent more time making a pattern than actually scrolling it. For what it's worth, here is what I came up with.2 points

Klingspor's 7th Anniversary In Cary NC, Live Demos!
Roberta Moreton reacted to artisanpirate for a topic
I Hope that it's ok to post a video like this here Hey Everyone! In this fun video I tell you all about the wonderful time I had at the 7th Anniversary of the Klingspor Woodworking Shop of Cary, NC this past Saturday! Coleman and the crew really knock these events out of the park and I always love being a part of them! This video documents the day and trip through my eyes and I hope you all like the video! #ArtisanPirate1 point -
Last year I made 2 versions of this recognition award. I posted 1 version already. The 2nd was delivered a few months later. I did not want to post the "jwk" version before giving it to the guy. This was based on company symbols. The original company logo was a light bulb with the filiament showing "iW" signifing iwatt. 2 companies bought us, the 2nd company started with a big R. So the wood award shows that these 2 guys came from iWatt and still work at the big R company. The 1st pic varied the filiament to the workers initials "jwk". The 3rd pic show a zoom in of the silicon wafer that I cut down. to 44mm. Wood is purple heart and yellow heart.1 point

Two Great Artists - The musician and the pattern maker1 point -
You did a nice job. Very nice capture of bonding buddies. Some of those hairlines look pretty long and fragile. The bridal chain loops also look scary to cut. My chiropractor "John Red Eagle" adjusts horses and people. Both him and his daughter "River" rides in rodeos. She would love this.1 point

Finally got all those letters cut and some of the art work. As I said before, I am slow. Plus, about an hour at a time is all I can handle. Should have all the cutting done today. Then some sanding and the finish. With the golf thingie for one sister and this sign for the other one, Christmas gifts for my sisters are done for this year. Now, on to toys for some kiddies. No scrolling for the toys.1 point

Latest Projects - Scroll Saw Challenge
rdatelle reacted to rash_powder for a topic
I don’t know if this counts as a ‘latest scroll saw project’; but it is a project and it is for my scroll saw. it’s a below-the-table dust pickup for my Hegner VS22. All those Seyco, Excalibur, and Jet saws with the through the table pickups had me jealous, so I’m correcting it. i e to drill the hole through the dust port, and then hot glue it under the table. There’s a pair of strengthening ribs under it this will fit between. Then an adapter for my loc-line pipe and I get to try it out. Hopefully it won’t be in the way too much. If I don’t like it I can easily cut the hot glue loose and put it comes. it’s made from PVC pipe heated and flattened/shaped as needed. No scroll saw was used, however. All hand saws, chisels, heat gun, etc. if not allowed feel free to delete post!1 point -
