I told you I have been doing something
danny and 10 others reacted to heppnerguy for a topic
Here another one fresh out of my shop. I cut one of this pattern not too long ago but I cut it on a little bit darker board and it was no way I was able to make it stand out very well so I did it over again and I am better with this one then the first one. It is for a Christmas present for one of the family member with a couple of cats that they love and I hope this one will find a nice place in their home. Dick heppnerguy11 points -

I made this one last year and posted it here. This time, the story is about these lights. I found these on amazon as I was looking for a multicolored string. I can't post everything these things will do but I'm loving it! The add states there is 16 million different combination of colors with it. It connects by an app using Bluetooth. I paid 5 bucks for this on sale! And the project, Baltic birch, #1 spiral blade, oak stain with a cedar base. 6D9F1C10-B896-4227-B291-1315AC1155AF.MOV 7523878F-702D-40B0-BF50-605A173478C0.MOV 27C14D35-9496-4F67-AFA5-CB469EC5CC34.MOV5 points

I purchased books 15, 16 and 17 many years ago, from the woodyoubelieve shop and they were "Ebooks". That came in ZIP files.2 points

I’m continuing to experience the same as Ray @OCtoolguy regarding the slowness in initially loading the SSV site compared to any other site I visit. I’m usually using my iPad with most recent updates OS and Safari.1 point

I know nothing about the book or any others by this company. However, in answer to your question on if Rolf is correct, I would tell you Rolf is of German lineage and has stated before he understands the language so I would trust he knows what the cover says. I selected the one term that says “2 mit Vorlagenbogen“ and did translate and it indicated it states “two template sheets.”1 point

I also bought Volkers book of 21 and did several of the Schwibbogens and they are very nice. He also has some pyramids but they are large.1 point

Another software update. Y'all know the story....something wonky, lemme know.1 point

That is where I ordered mine from. He has completely redone the site since I ordered.1 point

The language is a non issue for me, But the price $25 and it only has 2 patterns NOPE. As Paladin said Volker Arnold is my go to. His Crescent ornaments have paid for many of my tools.1 point

search function
Roberta Moreton reacted to Travis for a topic
There is, but as Scrappile has mentioned, it really depends on whether the uploader named the file well, added a title that matches, or adds something to the description to make it easy to search. At any rate, at the search bar, click into that. On the right, it says "Everywhere", click that to get a pulldown. Then select images. You can continue to refine your search by clicking "More Search Options" This will give you a ton of ways narrow down your search. I do try to categorize the patterns, but some of those categories are huge. I am rather proud to say, our pattern library has over 4,800 free scroll saw patterns, designed by our talented members! That's pretty amazing IMO!1 point -

Oh oh, you may have opened pandoras box. If other buyers get wind of the gift they will want one if they buy as well. Very nice and very well done.1 point

Well I gotta say, I cannot debate whether you can cut stone with a scroll saw blade, I suspect that with a diamond blade you could but it would be painful. I know you can turn soft stones. Here are examples of soap stone I turned. It was not difficult, but it was slow. The resulting "rock dust" was a real fine powder like talc. And I have seen the results of turning alabaster: http://www.maxkrimmel.com/Alabaster/HowToPart1/HowTo1.html1 point

Haven't posted for awhile but I have been making items
namunolie reacted to heppnerguy for a topic
I have been in my shop off and on for the past month and have been sending them off in the mail before I took the time to photograph them. But I still have some ready and in the closet for Christmas gifts so I will start trying to list them a little more often but will not try to overdue my items but rather spread them out. This item I am making as an extra gift for one of my grandchildren who live about a mile away from Billings Montana and have a small 38 acre farm where they are raising cows and training horses for other folks there. They have a lot of wild creatures there and so I thought this might be a fun sign for their front porch. They have Elk, dear, turkeys, deer and a lot of other animals that are crossing their fields daily. I thought this little sign would be one they would enjoy having. Dick heppnerguy1 point -
Well I looked at this pattern a while before deciding to get started. And I am Very Happy with the way it looks. Had some Hold the breath happenings, but All in All I Really did Enjoy cutting this pattern. I am not real sure, but think Jim Blume designed it. Anyway all comments are very welcome...............Danny :+}1 point

Latest Projects - Scroll Saw Challenge
rdatelle reacted to rash_powder for a topic
I don’t know if this counts as a ‘latest scroll saw project’; but it is a project and it is for my scroll saw. it’s a below-the-table dust pickup for my Hegner VS22. All those Seyco, Excalibur, and Jet saws with the through the table pickups had me jealous, so I’m correcting it. i e to drill the hole through the dust port, and then hot glue it under the table. There’s a pair of strengthening ribs under it this will fit between. Then an adapter for my loc-line pipe and I get to try it out. Hopefully it won’t be in the way too much. If I don’t like it I can easily cut the hot glue loose and put it comes. it’s made from PVC pipe heated and flattened/shaped as needed. No scroll saw was used, however. All hand saws, chisels, heat gun, etc. if not allowed feel free to delete post!1 point -
