EX-21 help needed - Urgent

Found a great use for my hold down.. I welded a old cam / timing gear on it and then welded some 1/4" bolts to it and it makes a great handle for holding the cam timing gears while trying to re-install a timing chain on a 3.7L or 4.7L Dodge or Jeep.. Made a nice handle and you can stick a screwdriver through the slot where the blade normally is to hold everything while you go down underneath to make sure everything is timed correct before tightening all the bolts.. I'm sure you all could find something to do with yours if you have a need for a tool or something to make with it. LOL4 points -

Just thinking of Christmas's past on here and some outstanding projects that were done for Christmas. This one stands out in my mind.. 2019, I believe. But I don't remember who did it and provided the patterns to anyone interested. I have the patterns, but I never did it. Large item and no where to store it. But something that could be donated to some organization. Anyone else remember it, it created a lot of interest when it was built? Sorry I can not remember the name of the originator. I I know it had lights. Pretty amazing piece. Make a great yard display. Over 3 feet tall.3 points

HF is a great way to test out whether a new style of tool will work for what you are trying to do. For $34 (tool plus two heads) you can tell if this is going to work, if it does then when the cheapo dies, upgrade. HF sells two different detail sanding head, so be sure to check both (or buy both).3 points

I got one like that. Mine's a Proxxon. IDK, that Microlux may have been somewhat less expensive.2 points

Think I might have to look into one of those multi tool things.. I've heard of a lot of different uses for those.. Got a HF gift card so maybe I'll see what they have for one of those..2 points

Ornaments For Charity is a project from the members of Scroll Saw Village. For the last 13 years, our designers have donated their talents by creating wonderful ornament patterns for the Holiday Season. It has become so popular, and so big, we had to split it into 2 books! Book 1 covers our first 10 years; 2010-2021. Our newest book, Book 2, covers 2021-2023. Between the two books, we have 171 pages with 525 Holiday ornament patterns! So be sure to download both books! This popular eBook was featured in the Holiday 2014 issue of Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts (read the article here). Is it really free? Here's how it works. Download the eBook and take a look at what we have to offer. If you decide to keep it, all we ask is that you donate to your favorite charity. You get a ton of great ornament patterns, and you help those in need in return. Remember, this isn't about "buying" an eBook of patterns, it's about giving to a worthy cause. If you don't have a favorite charity, we have listed a number of national (and international) charities below that could use your help. Remember, the purpose is to raise money for those in need. So, please dig deep when donating. Please donate to one of these fine charities or a charity of your choice. Toys for Tots is a program run by the United States Marine Corps Reserve which donates toys to children whose parents cannot afford to buy them gifts for Christmas. By giving to Toys for Tots, you'll bring the magic of Christmas to children in need. The Make-A-Wish Foundation is a non-profit organization that grants wishes to children (2.5 years to 18 years old) who have life-threatening medical conditions. It is a wonderful charity that brings a few moments of joy. Habitat For Humanity is an international, non-governmental, non-profit organization devoted to building simple, decent, and affordable housing for those who would not otherwise be able to afford their own home. A donation to your local food bank will ensure that the hungry will be fed in your own community. Make a difference in your neighbor's life.Free1 point -

Detail Sanders
JTTHECLOCKMAN reacted to OCtoolguy for a topic
I have made some pretty intricate things and hate sanding so I use the Dremel MultiMax to get in the hard to reach places. I also use a lot of my wife's nail file emery boards. The Dremel tool also so a great job of cutting in places where a saw won't work. I bought the one I have when we first moved into our mobile home and there was no medicine cabinet. So we bought a cheap one and I was able to inset it into the side of the cabinet that is in the bathroom. With that fine vibratory saw blade, I was able to lay out a line and "jab" the saw blade in and then just follow the line the whole rectangular perimeter of the box. It worked great and left a very nice edge that required no sanding or clean up. J T, at one time I had the Fein multi tool too. It was very expensive in it's day.1 point -

Detail Sanders
OCtoolguy reacted to JTTHECLOCKMAN for a topic
A detailed sander is a sander that can reach in tight areas and sand the fine details of a project that are hard to get at with a larger palm sander. They almost always have a triangle shaped head to get right into a 90 degree corner. Not sure why you really needs this for what a scroller does but that is what they are. I have a Fein oscillating detail sander now I use it mainly for flush cutting blades.1 point -
+1 That is precisely why I bought a second rotary tool. My existing Craftsman was not compatible with many Dremel accessories I wanted to use.1 point

I could wrong but I had a knocking noise on the front of my ex21 only to find it was the arm that holds the hold down hitting the machine. Worth a check unless you removed the arm of course.Roly1 point -
