Here are two projects that my brother was supposed to make frames for. It had been almost a year. He made a couple okay frames. I just redid them. The Billy the kid I made the interior of the frame more decorative and then distressed it. The open range I just enlarged the interior to show some of the backboard and rounded the interior corners. Not the best photos but I haven’t had time to set them up better.9 points

This was supposed to be a Christmas present for my neighbor and his wife for this past Christmas! I started it about 2 weeks ago and gave it to them yesterday. They loved it. He told me that before they moved in next doors 27 years ago, they used to have birds. He said at one time they used to have 16, all different types but never a Blue Macaw. The plans are from The Winfield Collection. I used just plain old 2"x10" and 1"x8" materials. My wife did all of the painting. Lots of sanding involved in this one! I used the bandsaw to cut out all of the pieces and used the scrollsaw to cut apart the beak and to re-saw the bottom part of the beak to make it thinner. I haven't used the bandsaw much for projects in the last couple of years,, but using the scrollsaw is very good practice for staying on the lines when using a bandsaw! LOL I used an old piece of cedar for the post and a dowel for the perch and a piece of 2"x8" for the base.8 points

Hi all I need some help please, my eyes are not so good, so I cut with a pair of readers and use an illuminated magnifying glass. A friend of mine prepared a pdf pattern for before our relocation where the Infill was 50% gray and the Stroke was Black .5 thickness ( I like using Red but I don’t have a A3 printer so Ineed to have my pattern printed at the print shop, the problem I have is as soon as you tell them it’s twovolorthe charge you the color price which is three times more expensive than BW. So now on the Inkspace user forums they said I must do the following: 1) Import your pattern into Inkspace, then highlight the pattern and save as a plain svg. 2) Then import your newly saved pattern (svg) highlight the pattern and select path then trace bitmap - Nothing happens. 3) Tried setting to infill to 50% gray - did not work 4) Tried setting stroke to black .5 - did not work So I figured that I have this whole all messed up, can some one please help me fix this it’s very important to help me and my failing eye sight.1 point -
Just finished a picture for my new Dentist, I had already done one of these for my old dentist but he retired so I did one for the young lady that's just taken over from him. The other one is two interconnecting hearts. they are made from English Yew and finished with sanding sealer and acrylic lacquer. Hope you like them.1 point

Wichman how do I get to the February post?1 point -
In the new versions of Inkscape .pdf files are automatically converted to .svg files and trace bitmap will not work on them ( trace bitmap only works on bitmap files ) If you will revisit my message on Feb 8th it will walk you through the steps, if you still can't get it to do what you want, please post again. And please let us know if you get it.1 point

I thought it would have done that, but there is only the original pattern nothing on top and nothing to the side either.1 point -
when you "trace>bitmap" it puts a copy over the original. You can move one of them aside to make sure there is 2. When hilighted an "object property" will indicate a path , or a bitmap.1 point
