  1. Between rain and too hot to play golf, spent some times in the shop. Made a cutting board for my daughter in black walnut 20”x18” one more bowl and a couple of steak boards (might be hard sell who can afford a steak) also my Legion branch asked for nameplate for their board meetings .

  2. My latest Intarsia piece. Done for the PAM (project a month) in the Facebook group Just Intarisa. Kathy Wise donated the pattern. Woods used: Spanish Cedar, Rainbow poplar, Walnut, Cherry, Aspen Wenge. The eye highlight is a pencil crayon sharpened and pushed in the hole. Finish is 2 coats of Osmo Satin with a coat of Walrus Oil over top. 25 pieces.

Trying to get some stuff done before I get my cataracts addressed, I am making embellishments for some scrabble tile name ornaments. I found the blanks for these at Hobby Lobby which saved me a ton of time sourcing 1/16" ply and cutting it to strips. The snowflakes have two light coats of shaker can white and the holly is handpainted with Unicorn Spit (full strength). Dime added for scale. Cut these in 10 to 14 piece stacks--but they are fragile.

Need a quick hostess gift and I made this real quick from wood unknown. (maybe brown maple) Pattern is from a CNC file. 7 inches in diameter and 1 inch high. Loaded with trail mix and nuts and wrapped in clear plastic and it was well received.

  10. Thanks. My wood shelf is the only area I didn't get in the panoramic shot. Everything is pretty blurry but I do have a self portrait under the Pop's Shop sign.

  11. I feel lucky to have it after working in my carport. It’s just 16 x 20 but it’s more than I ever thought I’d have.
