I bought this saw, used, from a person living in the Inland Empire area of Southern California. It was almost unused, and never abused.

I paid a fair price for it, as a used machine, but I think it is worth way more than what I paid for it.

Hegner has a upgrade kit for this saw, which upgrades the sawdust blowing/removal system, to the same configuration as the new saws. I ordered this today.

Look at advanced machinery's Web-Site, if you would like to see what the new saws look like.

I am real happy with this saw.

I bought this saw on Ebay used. It did not survive the trip to well. But a little adjustment here and there and a little paint it is like new.I do not find the blade changes on the Hegner bad at all .Maybe not as fast as some. But i do not do this for a living either. It is more for relaxation. All in all I think i would buy one New knowing what a great saw it is and if I could not find one used.I have been dealing with Advance Machinery for many years.I bought my Tormek Sharpening System from them few years ago.So knowing they are a Hegner Dealer is a plus.

I bought this saw at a woodworking show in San Jose California about 28 years ago. It is a very reliable saw and I use it often. It is  very durable and reliable. I never had it break down but I did go for the new Quick clamp which makes blade changing must easier.

I do recommend this saw as I have been completely satisfied with it's performance over the years that I have used it.

This little modification to the Hegner Quick clamp has changed the blade installation dramatically. It got to the point where i was ready to give up on the Quick clamp. All I did was add a little handle to the Quickclamp.i used a aluminum tire valve extension to keep the it as light as possible and a little epoxy.Added a rubber cap for the handle. Before i drilled the hole in the clamp I mounted it to the saw and put a blade in the clamp.Tightened the clamp and marked the handle hole at around 1 o'clock on the clamp knob. If you need more info let me know. Tony

I have used the this saw, as many of our club members have this saw. When it was time for me to upgrade I had the opportunity to use a HawkG426 alongside this saw. They are both in the same price bracket. I loved both saws as they were a dramatic improvement over my Delta SS350 (that was an excellent entry level saw). I chose the Hawk as it was more suited to my style of scrolling. The reasons for my choice,  (this was back in 2005) Hawk had top feed capability and an adjustable dust blower hose. At that time the Hegners blew the dust right in your snoot. Also the G4 blade clamps were and still are tool less. But one of my main reasons was the amount of room under the upper arm.

Having said all of that The Hegner saws are bullet proof one of our members has been scrolling for 70 years and  his wife also has a Hegner . As with most tools it is a matter of preference.

I bought this saw used on eBay It was made in 1998.When the saw arrived i noticed that the only warable parts were 2 bushings.i ordered them and never had to replace them The only problem I have with this saw is the knob on the quick clamp witch is tooless. But i am losing my strength in my right handed this little mod. solved that problem It was like buying a new saw. This saw is 18 years old and it stills passes the nickel test if i could stand the nickel on edge without shaking
