Two Truths & A Lie:

Quote:

  1. very nice, I love the napkin holder
  2. Nice work!! I especially like the napkin holder. Curious? when you pull out a napkin do u just get one, or do the whole bunch come out and flop all over the table like all my napkin holders? Man I wish I knew how to punctuate a sentence properly.
  3. Nice work. That napkin holder and trivets are beautiful.
  4. Edward, it's a very cute napkin holder. Len
  5. Pete, it's a very nice looking napkin holder, your landlady should be pleased to own it. Len
  6. Here are a couple of projects I stained. These are not glued yet but I have given quiet a few of these Napkin Holders with Initials as gifts and they came out great. I found out that the best stain on BB is Brand Varethane Red Mahogany and I have not used any prestain conditioner. I have been dipping the pieces before assembling them. What do you think. Some of my edges could use a some touching but I already sprayed these with Shellac. Thank you for listening Sam
  7. Since we are renting a house in Panama City Beach for the winter, I decided to cut something for our landlady. I asked Sue Mey if she had anything with beach theme motif for a napkin holder, she did not but she said she will try something. Well this is her pattern that is now available on her web site (https://www.scrollsawartist.com/ It was easy to cut and I think it will go well with the decor, PCB has a very good reputation for their fantastic Beaches.
  8. Looks great. Napkin holders make a nice practical gift.
  9. Finished this Wine Napkin Holder, pattern is from Sue Mey. edward
  10. Military plaques, a couple different designs. Steve Good has some. I spoke with him and he said he will try to fit some occupational clocks in this year so will be looking for those. Want to make some vinyl record clocks this year. A couple billiard clocks I have in mind. Couple playing card clocks. Many different pens. Have so many of those ideas. Some banks. Couple different napkin holders. They are always good sellers. Will be getting away from the religious crosses this year. Will carry my bigger ones because I still need to sell them. Will be turning a couple new birdhouse ornaments. Golfer clocks I will be bringing back as well as my golf ball display rack. I have been asked for this so it is on my list. I need to bring back my heart shaped mirrors again. I am sure there will be other things that will come up. Will stay busy enough to keep me out of trouble.
  11. i've sold a lot of crosses. Nativity, Cowboy, Farmer crosses out of everything from walnut to beetle kill pine. What's the deal with crosses? I've even got one I'm designing cut it walnut, inlaid w/beetle kill pine. With a bear, bull rider, deer, moose, & Elk in it.Don't that sound like a job?I'm anxious to get it done to see how it looks! Last year, I couldn't make ornaments & napkin holders fast enough. I did have an order for owls, but they backed out
  12. I use quite a bit of cherry in many different types of projects. Crosses, napkin holders, dream catchers, etc. I cut my own feathers for the dream catchers from cherry, too. The best way I've found is a couple couple coats of clear shellac, & then I use Watco clear gloss. On the small projects, I use a rattle can. On bigger projects, I use my air sprayer.
  13. I use hard wood in all my projects. I've learned thru trial & error that it works best for what I do. I cut my own feathers for my dream catchers, they are 3/16" thick, & I do stack cut them on occasion. My crosses, dream catchers, napkin holders, & specialty projects are all walnut, cherry, maple, oak, & red oak. I've found that once in awhile, somebody will want a picture frame, or somethin' like it. It's a good way to use my hard wood pieces, & make somebody smile That's whats this is all about, in my opinion. To see the the smile on folks' face when they get a project I made just for them. That's a high that don't go away! ' r
  14. Now that is a Beautiful Napkin Holder.Awesome job.
  15. Well done and should do well. I have made a couple well actually 4 napkin holders none sold yet but then they are not Christmas theme but cute bears, humming birds , raccoon and squiral
  16. Finished this Nativity Napkin Holder, put a different bottom on from the original pattern. I think this would be a good seller, and it is a Sue Mey pattern. edward

  18. I think these are all Steve Good patterns. The one is napkin rings.
  19. I'm finishing a patriotic napkin holder for my son's birthday. He spent 20 years in the United States Navy and is a real patriot.
  20. I made this for Halloween since my wife loves the season.
  21. I read or heard somewhere that brown paper is supposed to be in the 800 grit range. I use it quite often between coats of Krylon Acrylic on napkin holders and again after the finish coat. Like others have said it leaves a quite smooth finish. So when you grocery shop and are asked paper or plastic choose paper and give it a try.
