  8. she wanted fancy wood ,so i dug thru my cedar and find a raw pretty piece.I cut it in half on the table saw, run it thru the planner, and sand all pieces Planed two pieces to 3/16 and add a 1/8 piece of wood to the back later. It's a modified steve good napkin holder with here company logo on both sides "R" Rainbow cleaning machines. She wants two but taking all day for one lets see what pans out in the dollar catagorie(big).lol I glue the r with white glue an used a "spray it" sprayer with min wax fast dry polyurethane everywhere.I held it in my hand an sprayed it with no runs thats how fast it dryed. The "spray it" mist coats it so that's probably why it dried so fast plus it's old stuff ,never opened Hugo is a guy that wants his wifes and babys name soon when the babys born
  9. I make some fretwork napkin holders mostly out of 3/4" red oak. I wanted a branding iron that I could use on the bottom edge that would fit in a area of 5/8" X 2 1/2". I had one made that has Made in USA on the first line and by My Name on the second line, it works great. I have used it for other projects and it works well for them also. So yes I sign my work.

  24. Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am Jen, I am 32 and I live in Delaware. I have been scrolling for almost a year. I still can't believe how addictive it is. A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to a Excalibur 21 and today I finished the sandpiper picture below. I cut it out of two layers of 1/8" baltic birch plywood and the segmented bird is 1/4" bb plywood. I coated the beach layer in mod podge and then sand (which I'd never done before and would do a little differently next time), and stained the bottom layer with blue acrylic paint mixed with acrylic stain medium. I also make a lot of other projects, anything from coasters and napkin holders to wall hangings, and lately I've started doing jigsaw puzzles. This forum seems like a great resource! Thanks everyone for all the info and inspiration!
