    Rings

I bet they would make great napkin holders.
  4. Hi everyone, just wanted to introduce myself. I am Jen, I am 32 and I live in Delaware. I have been scrolling for almost a year. I still can't believe how addictive it is. A couple of weeks ago I upgraded to a Excalibur 21 and today I finished the sandpiper picture below. I cut it out of two layers of 1/8" baltic birch plywood and the segmented bird is 1/4" bb plywood. I coated the beach layer in mod podge and then sand (which I'd never done before and would do a little differently next time), and stained the bottom layer with blue acrylic paint mixed with acrylic stain medium. I also make a lot of other projects, anything from coasters and napkin holders to wall hangings, and lately I've started doing jigsaw puzzles. This forum seems like a great resource! Thanks everyone for all the info and inspiration!
  5. Thanks linda, the palm trees are in my old gallery. It's not easy to get to it but there's plenty of pictures of project tere of mine and the whole club before Travis upgraded the village. On the top of this page or any there is the home page, firum, user gallery and al the way to the right is more .Click on more and then old gallery, look on the bottom of the first page as you scroll dowm and click on my name where the napkin holders are.Thats a start!
  6. Busy busy busy. Great find with the shelves. Its what I like a place for everything and everything in its place. Napkin rings look great also. Marg
  7. You have made some awesome stuff there Kevin.I Love the Napkin holder. The Basketball Players are cool.Less than 100 boxes?Well we are going to be awed for sometime to come. Thanks Kevin.
  8. Well, I have started making my Christmas bits already, starting with some "Turkey Napkin Rings". I have about 24 at the minute and have already sold 12 before they were finished, so I think I'll make a lot more before my next show. Hope you like them. Keefie
  9. Just Finished this Butterfly Napkin Holder on 1/2" Oak, pattern is from Sue Mey. Edward
  10. Hi Travis Do you have a pattern for napkin rings, I was thinking about turning some but I would prefer to scroll. I am good a turning the first one but the duplicates are tough. Thanks Don
  11. I'm working on a couple things. My main priority is a couple of wall lamps. That's mostly regular woodworking without any scrolling. But my livingroom needs extra light. For scrolling, I'm making some napkin rings for Easter and a couple bunny cutouts from some reclaimed wood fence boards.
  12. Correct and correct ,i love evrybodys chimeing in on this one!Wait till you see the napkin holders work in progress!
  13. I wouldn't do flea markets. That crowd is looking for deals, not handcrafted art. You can try puzzles. Freestanding puzzles would work the best. Especially if they're of dog breeds. Some more ideas that might sell well: bowls, baskets, trivets, boxes, a few portraits (to get custom work), word art, desk name-plates with clever sayings, candle holders, napkin/paper towel holders.
  14. This is the napkin holder that took first place in the North-east Arkansas District Fair this week , I'm proud for I entered 4 projects and one took the blue Ribbon and the other three took second place Red Ribbons . Never thought that any would win anything , but now I think that next year I'll enter again for sure ............Tell me what you think ...............Marshall
  15. Way to go Marshall! You really did a nice job on the napkin holder. I can see why it got a blue ribbon! Congratulations!
