Two Truths & A Lie:

  1. Christmas is over and we start a new year. Whenever January rolls around, I often reflect on the previous year. I like to think of the special memories, accomplishments, and time I spend with my hobbies. So this month's challenge, think back to what you created this year and post your favorite scroll saw project. Let us know a little bit about it. Why was it your favorite? Was it a gift for someone? What was it for? I always enjoy the stories behind the project. Can't wait to see your favorite project!
  2. We all know Steve Good from Scroll Saw Workshop. He's arguably the most prolific, and most well known pattern designers in the scrolling community. He's turned out so many great patterns on a nearly daily basis. His free pattern library will keep an average scroller busy for years! Plus, he's very generous when sharing his knowledge and advice. I think it's safe to say that most scrollers that have been around for a short bit have cut one or more of his patterns. So I think this month's scroll saw challenge is to post a project you cut with a Steve Good pattern. When you do, post a little backstory about your project. Why did you choose that design? Who did you make it for? It'll be fun to see what you come up with! Are you looking for a project? Browse his free Pattern Catalog here: https://www.stevedgood.com/catalog/index.php
  3. This month's scroll saw challenge is about seeing how far we've come in our hobby. Post a picture of your first project, and a picture of your most recent project. This isn't about poking fun at where we began, but rather to celebrate how far we've come. And when you post, let us know how you discovered scroll sawing. It will be fun to see where we all got our start and where we are now.
  4. Happy New Year! May 2018 bring you prosperity, comfort, and hope. With the new year, comes New Years Resolutions! So that's what this month's scroll saw challenge is. I want you to try something new with scroll sawing. Maybe you've always wanted to try intarsia? Or compound cutting? Coin cutting? Something artsy? Or maybe try your hand at pattern making? Post something that you've wanted to try but haven't had the excuse to until now. Find something new, and give it a try. I can't wait to see what you come up with!
