  1. Blue Marlin Jumping Out Of Water Russ Beard Design I stack cut 3 from 1/4 inch material on my @rikon_powertools scroll saw, the backer boards are also 1/4 inch material The frames were a 2x4 I milled down to 3/4 inch square strips on my Rikon Table Saw and the rabbets for the frames were done on my @craftsman Router and Table Everything was sanded smooth with @klingsporswoodworkingshop sandpaper and I glued the frame in a strap clamp with @thegorillagluecompany wood glue. I used 2 different @minwaxusa wood stains for the frame and portrait and after everything was dried I glued the portraits to the backer boards with medium grade CA Glue and activator. The backer boards were spray painted black and after the glue dried, I trimmed the portraits to their final sizes and glued them in the frames with more CA Glue. After I was happy with everything, I gave the portraits several coats of @rustoleum clear gloss for a finish. These were fun to cut and one of them was a Christmas Present to my Mom and the other went to family friends. They loved the portraits! And I still have a 3rd portrait to finish in a unique way! . . #ArtisanPirate
