  1. Well I have made a Personal Choice, after a Long Personal battle with myself I have decided to stop cutting scrolled plaques, the ones like I've been doing. All the Cowboys and Country Singer's. and Cars. Instead I will be making Single Layered Plaques maybe double. much easier on me and my Back, which I have been having a lot of problems with lately. After 20 plus yrs it was a hard choice. but one I had to make. Not giving up Scrolling, just changing Lanes, heading down a new road.
  2. Been busy lately shows every month here's a couple of pics of my table from yesterday and it was a good day.
  3. A modified Sheila Landry pattern and the truck one is shortened from a pattern by BirchBark in the library here. Both on reclaimed maple. Jeff
  4. Hello everyone. Well, I appreciate this introductory section, as it gives me the opportunity to see that I'm not the only newbie onboard. As stated, I'm brand new to the hobby, having purchased my very first scroll saw this past October. I live out in the country now, not too terribly far from the city in which I worked, as a police officer for thirty-one years. After retiring, I wanted to do something and I felt like I wanted to do something creative, with my hands and the proper tools. I visited a local craft show, whereas I saw a glossy, board mounted photo (city skyline) and for some reason that sort of stuck with me. The more I thought about it, the more refined I got in my idea as to what I could do. As such, I completed my very first project on my new scroll saw today. It's not intricate. In fact, I suspect a lot of the intermediate and advanced guys and ladies would consider it pretty easy. Well, that's what I was shooting for, to start. I thought I'd share my first effort with you folks. Hope you don't mind. It's my "retirement badge."
  5. Hello everyone, I am new to this forum and scroll sawing. I am also a digitizer of embroidery designs. I love doing both, but, find I am loving the scroll saw so much that my other craft has taken a back seat. lol I use to live in Anchorage, Alaska for over 30 years. We moved to northeast Ohio two years ago. I am loving being back in the lower fourty eight. UPDATE: My site is now on my blogspot, link is below, designs can be bought there also~scrolling work and pics will also be there. You can see me site here: I have added a spot for my new hobby "scroll sawing". Erie Pines Designs Thanks for allowing me to join your forum, I know I can find many answers to questions in here and so many lovely patterns. Thanks again, Maggie Nell
