Two Truths & A Lie:

  1. I make and sell these five pointed stars using oak and cedar, or walnut. I make them about ten at a time and have sold nine so far this summer. This is the most challenging item I make. Getting the miter angles just right is tricky and can be frustrating. I make these stars in two sizes. 18" across and 28" across. The larger ones sell the best.
  2. I have made and sold over 50 wooden stars but lost some sales because this west Texas weather will just kill anything made of wood so I made this metal star. I made this 28" star from 24 gage painted steel. This is my very first attempt but I plan to adjust my pattern a bit and make some more to sell. Metal stars are popular here to mount to the outside of one's house. Photos include a front and back view. I am a retired sheet metal worker and just today took delivery on a 24" Pan and box brake from Grizzly which I used to make this first attempt. I had not touched a brake since 2000. De Je Vous.
