  1. When you've been away from the scroll saw for any length of time, your skills get a bit rusty. Cut a few lines on these practice patterns to get the feel of your scroll saw again before beginning a new project. It'll only take a couple minutes to sharpen those skills, and your project won't suffer b...
  2. Here's my latest video tutorial. This time, I'm using Inkscape to prepare an oversized pattern for printing. The pattern was kindly provided by our one and only Christina. Thanks Christina! There are times when we want to print a pattern that is larger than a standard sheet of paper. Whe...

This is a series of short videos we created for YouTube. Each video is under 1 minute each sharing a tip that will hopefully make your scroll sawing easier. Share some of your favorite tips and tricks in the comments below. Enjoy the show!

For my first live broadcast, I'm going to cut a scroll saw portrait of Deadpool (a comic book and movie character). The final piece is going...
  7. Applying Patterns Transfer Method Drawing - One of the most direct ways of putting a pattern to your workpiece is simply draw your pattern onto the wood. This is a good method for simple patterns or to rough out a shape. However, it gets difficult for complex patter...
  8. Here's a home made scroll saw. Pretty amazing. You can find more pics here.
  9. You probably don't need convincing, but here's a neat video that introduces you to what the scroll saw can do. Show this to someone who's on the fence about adding a scroll saw to their shop. Who knows, you might add a new scroll sawer to our ranks.
  10. Here's a quick video on how to turn a photo into a puzzle. He recommends a #2 blade, but I'd use the puzzle blades sold by Mike's Workshop. Much thinner kerf and works really well for puzzles. http://video.wwgoa.com/videos/001473_make-a-picture-into-a-puzzle/
