First I would go to Flying Duchmen Blades site and read his articles on blades. One thing I do know that I do when I am cutting plexi is to take packing tape and cover the entire material before cutting and then I also use double skip-tooth blades to cut it and control my speed of the saw, sometimes I adjust the speed constantly just trying to keep the blade from getting hot and melting the plexi. I also take really slow cuts. Hope this helps.

Welcome to the forum. Lot of info here and we all learn new things everyday. As for you question, I use blue painter's tape over the plexiglass and glue the pattern to the tape. Cut at about 600 spm and have fun.
