NC Scroller
Did not work for me either but the Wooden Teddy Bear site is up. It is the same company. http://www.woodenteddybearonline.com/x/home.php
Scrolling Steve
I hope it is just a glitch......The wooden teddy Bear charges more for shipping than mikes site....when they bought mike's they said they would keep it as it was....I guess we will see. redwine
Maybe I can answer the question of Mikes Workshop site. When Mike sold his business to Wooden Teddy Bear, one if the stipulations was that the site would stay up for 1 year than it could be closed. You can see why this was done so that it would not be perceived that WTB just went in and took over. This was a good thing for both party's and made for an easy transition. As for the price increase that may or may not happen, the shipping cost will increase unless WTB makes an exception for a different cost for blade order only. Erv If this is the case, and it does make sense, WTB would have done themselves better by posting the closing of the website a few weeks prior and to also have it posted on their own website. Around the corner
Try Sawbird up here in Canada. These blades are the same and the US dollar is better than ours so give them a try I use them all the time give Garnet a call he can answer all your questions. Lucky2
You would think that WTB would have placed an announcement regarding closing the FD site, on the FD site? That's if the site is actually closed, and it's not just a glitch. Len Edited September 2, 2016 by Lucky2

Scrappile
Keep in mind, WTB lets you mix all type/sizes (same brand) blades to get the gross discount. My last order I save $6 buying from over what it would have cost me to buy the same blades from the Mike's Workshop site, even with the little higher shipping cost. JustLarry
I sent email to WTB and they forwarded it to Mike's. Here is reply. Larry, Your question about our web site was forwarded to us from The Wooden Teddy Bear. We have had no other comments about the site not working. We did launch a new web site around the beginning of June. So if you have a link to the old site bookmarked, possibly that is the problem. If you delete the old link, then you should be able to access the new web site. If you have further difficulties, please contact us again. Vernon My reply Mike’s Workshop, Inc. PO Box 33917 Portland, OR 97292-3917 (503) 760-1614 www.mikesworkshop.com My reply back: Vernon,www.mikesworkshop.com is where I am trying to go to. I am not the only one not able to get in. I saw posting on Scroll Saw Village yesterday which prompted me to try to enter the workshop. Could not enter so thought I would check it out. http://www.scrollsawvillage.com/topic/20661-mikes-workshop/Larry

Debi Shipman
I get a website cannot be found page with links to other similar sites listed. One of them was mikesworkshop.com. I clicked that link and get a page that says mikesworkshop.com unexpectedly terminated connection. I can see why people wouldn't report it. 1. I wouldn't know where or how and 2. with Mike's passing, I'd figure they closed shop.
JustLarry
Mike's Workshop is back on line. Had some technical problems. Larry, Just wanted to let you know our IT people found out whatever the problem was. Both the web site and email are back up and running properly now. Thank you for your patience, Vernon

Around the corner
Hi everyone. I checked with Garnet over at Sawbird for the prices on shipping for scrollsaw blades. The shipping charge is 4.00$ per order. Blades are shipped free if accopaning bought books or patterns.Orders are shipped to you in 5-7 business days. US costomers with the exchange are saving 20% by buying through Sawbird. The blades are Flying Dutchman. I have used these blades and have had no trouble. I am not recieving any commision for this info just trying to save you some money you people in the US.If you want to save money try Sawbird.
