i make 2 copies of each pattern one on a cd and i print the other one and store itin a yard sale find file cabenit seperated into catigories. this way if the computr is down i still have my patterns available. the cd's make it nice cause with all the patterns i have iv only got 4-6 cd's loaded with nothing but patterns but its nice to have the back up patterns cause you just nevr know when you could lose the computer

I keep all my patterns stored on my computer, and backed up in a external hard drive. For the patterns I have purchased they are kept in a large folder as well as on the computer. They are put into several catagories, portrait animals, native american, religion and so on. Each folder sometimes has sub folders. Then when needed I print one out. For larger patterns like intarsia, I scan each section of the pattern into my computer, then print each piece out and put together. The originals never get used.

I keep a "to cut" stack in my shop which rarely seems to get any smaller.

I keep them all in 2 ring folders and plastic pockets. I have 6 folders. People in alphabetical order and misc, in a sort of alphabetical / catagory order. I keep saying that one day I will scan them all and put them on disc but I would need a spare 2 or 3 weeks for that job.:lol:
