Travis
How do you organize your patterns? Do you print them out? Keep them all digital? Or are you like me and have a huge stack of paper in the corner?
grampa
I use Flash drives and cd's, one day I will get round to sorting them all out into different categories mind you I have been saying that for ages.......Paul

medic_149
I use a 3 ring binder with sleeve inserts for patterns up to 8x10. I keep them sorted by theme, christmas, outdoors etc. For larger patterns, i have a stack on the shelf. Havnt found a way to store them via bnder yet. WigWag Workshop
I just picked up a cheap laptop, that has my small collection of patterns and pdf's. I plan to print them off as needed, I also have access to a photo copier.
Clayton717
I keep all my patterns stored on my computer, and backed up in a external hard drive. For the patterns I have purchased they are kept in a large folder as well as on the computer. They are put into several catagories, portrait animals, native american, religion and so on. Each folder sometimes has sub folders. Then when needed I print one out. For larger patterns like intarsia, I scan each section of the pattern into my computer, then print each piece out and put together. The originals never get used. I keep a "to cut" stack in my shop which rarely seems to get any smaller. Barry5180
Kepy
Organization. What is that? I have a shelf full of 3-ring binders with patterns, a computer full (second computer with storage), magazines since 1994 (unorganized), purchased patterns somewhere, and a shelf of pattern books. I won't even go into what is stored in the shop.

wedo scroll
I store mine on the computer and organize them into general categories so they're a little easier to find. Each file name is a short descriptive name. That also sorts by alphabet. I print them when I need them. Bill
Firedkm
I keep mine on a external hard drive and I also will scan in any paper patterns that I have.
wombatie
I keep them all in 2 ring folders and plastic pockets. I have 6 folders. People in alphabetical order and misc, in a sort of alphabetical / catagory order. I keep saying that one day I will scan them all and put them on disc but I would need a spare 2 or 3 weeks for that job. Marg
nubeescroller66#
Thanks for the various ideas. I'm thinking about using manilla folders and closing the top and bottom, forming a pocket type folder, then slipping the patterns in them, then punching holes to put in 3-ring binders, like all my woodworking mags. glucas4
I keep them in a file on main computer, with sub files (like plaques). Every so often I copy it to flash drive for back up. I print from digital when needed
